Days off are always busy 😅 - My Actifit Report Card: March 26 2026
Thursday is my regular day off so I started relaxed with coffee and playing Splinterlands, when the family was gone to school and work and I had some room in the shed which is usually full of bicycles, I got to the shed to replace my stock handlebar grips for new ones because the stock rubber grips started to slide.
These Rockbros grips look better as well, I like them 🙂
When I moved my daughter's mountainbike that was in front of mine, I noticed the chain was getting dirty, dirty means extra wear so I gave it a good clean with degreaser and then lubed it again.
Later than planned, I started to prepare for my ride, the weather was strange today, sun, rain and hail following each other across the entire day, with a planned 50km ride I was certain I would get wet so I chose my rain gear, which turned out to be a good choice.
I haven't visited the MTB Trail in Goudriaan this year until now and I smashed my PR with 10 seconds faster so that was cool, they also created an extra loop, also cool!
The wind was pretty strong and on my way back, my rain gear was making me really wet from the inside and with only 6 degrees I started to get a little cold so I was glad to be home, after a warm chocolate milk the hot shower was wonderful! 😍
My bike was pretty dirty after this ride so I hosed it off and while I was at it, I cleaned this chain as well.
Just before dinner, I had to pick up my daughter from judo class but I went on my wife's ebike, my legs had enough for today 😁
That was all, now some relaxing on the couch and to bed early! 😊
