Hey Actifitters,
I guess the weather wasn't the only reason for our recent lack of motivation. After several rainy and gloomy days, yesterday was very sunny. Normally, on a day like that during the week end, we would go to a park, maybe Kensington Metropark, or at the very least Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve, since it's only a 10 minutes drive. But I really didn't feel like driving at all and it wasn't easy to get moving. Being like Le Chat, just yawning in the sun, was very tempting!

So we started with espressos on the deck. Easy enough, and that gives plenty of time for Le Chat and Kaia to play in the yard.

Yes, even Le Chat wasted some energy playing! I already have plenty of photos for today so I'll keep these for later, maybe a Caturday post, or some boring day when I need fun photos for my report. Kaia was of course the most active one anyways. Unlike that poor tennis ball, she had lots of fun!

When Le Chat went back to sleep, we went to the small forest behind the front yard.

The main goal there is for Kaia to have even more fun. Her favorite obstacle is right there at the entrance, and she rarely skips it.

And of course, we always hope Le Chat will take time out of her busy napping schedule to join us there. And she did!

By then, the motivation was coming back. Like they say, the most difficult part is to just get out the door! So as usual, we headed to the bigger forest.

Whenever it's sunny, I can't help it, I have to try and snap a photo of the sun shining through that hole in that old tree trunk. It's not easy, you have to be there at the right moment!

Kaia wasn't done with all the fun for the day. Plenty of running, climbing and chasing opportunities in the forest.

With the switch to daylight saving time, we had lots of time before sundown to walk all the trails, including near the teepees.

And it was still very bright when we made the detour to our sunset spot. So bright I couldn't avoid these bad lens flares.

And once again, we finished with a few detours in the neighborhood, trying to catch reflections in the remaining rain puddles.

Well, it took some time to get going but in the end we didn't stay lazy and the 20k steps mark was easily reached. Monday should also be very sunny, so let's see if I can finally find the time (and motivation) for a run, on top of our daily walk of course.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
