Hey Actifitters,
It was mostly grey weather yesterday and the forecast kept saying it was going to rain, but the exact start kept changing. In the end it didn't rain until much later. But to avoid getting caught in the rain far from home, we took plenty of short breaks in the yard.
As you can see, with the rain and the wind, the most colorful parts of the yard lost a lot of leaves. They're now more on the ground than on the trees almost.
The good news is that many areas are still far from peak, and we'll probably see colors for a few more weeks at least.
Kaia has been limping for a few days now. To make things worse, that goofball also fell off the bed a few days ago. She likes to sleep near the edges so it's actually not the first time. Usually it's more funny than anything else but she fell pretty hard this time. Anyways, because of her limping and again the possibility of rain, I thought we'd only go in the forest behind the front yard for our daily walk.
Kaia looked like she wanted to go further in, so we did. Once again, I was extremely careful about my steps. I've become very scared of yellowjackets! And this time, we were on the side where I got attacked. I even looked for the glasses I lost during the attack but no luck.
After a while, it seems Kaia warmed up a little and the limping subsided a bit.
So we also walked on the neighborhood strees for a while, under a beautiful cloudy sky (still no rain in sight!)
And like I said many times, even on the streets, you can still see plenty of wildlife, although these deer quickly disappeared under the trees.
Even though Kaia seemed better, we kept it really short and walked back home. Le Chat was waiting for us, probably impatient to access the food inside.
After that, I thought about staying lazy for the rest of the day, but I eventually went for my first night run in a very long time. I just couldn't leave the #poprzeczka competition September session so early! The run was kind of a story of 5s: just over 5km at a pace just below 5min/km, a little under 500 calories, and somewhere around 5000 steps! And very important: enough to pass the bar, especially after a long easy cooldown walk in the yard. And with lots of rain now in the forecast, it's a good thing I did go for that run.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
