My Actifit Report Card: September 18 2025

Hey Actifitters,

It was almost troubling how similar yesterday was compared to the day before, at least in terms of activities. Definitely a routine work day! So once again we tried to spend as much time as possible in the yard, enjoying the new fall colors. I keep saying that but I don't think they were so early last year.

We also went several times to the small forest behind the front yard.

Then off to the bigger forest with beautiful colors along the way. I'm sure there is a rational explanation, but it's always surprising to me to find similar trees at very different levels of foliage colors.

Still mostly green in the forest but again it's also weird to find sometimes these islands of bright yellow or orange among all this green.

Even Kaia looked surprised!!

We continued on a semi-short route to maybe have a chance to catch the sunset.

But it was definitely too late for the show, it was already the very last colors.

So back to the forest, and this time it was fully dark. I talked about it often but the night mode on my phone is really good in my opinion. Here's an example below of the comparison between a naked eye view and night mode. I understand it's basically just a matter of accumulating more light, but wow! And of course, compared to a few years ago, software allows to snap these night photos without too much blurriness, even with just a handheld phone. It would have been impossible without a tripod. Anyways, I like it!

We added a little distance in the quiet neighborhood to conclude our daily walk. Night mode can be tricky there, because all the porch lights can confuse the sensors.

Like I said, almost an identical day as the previous one, and the step count obviously ended up very close too. Still a clean sheet in #poprzeczka competition but we're getting to the part where it starts to be challenging every day, let's go!
