My Actifit Report Card: July 13 2025

Hey Actifitters,

Pretty much the same yesterday, hot and humid! I had already planned to work mostly inside anyways, as I want to get the house clean, or at least in better shape, before my trip at the end of the month. But of course, we had a few breaks in the yard with Le Chat.

Since we knew a few people were supposed to stop by in the afternoon, we didn't go for our usual long walk, and stayed near the forest behind the front yard.

It's been quite hot but also humid this summer (it even started long before summer actually), so it's still very green out there.

Kaia went into exploration mode as usual, it's very serious business for her to check every single scent she can find!

After everybody left the house, and I didn't feel like working inside anymore, we still had time for our usual walk to the forest. There was a thick cloud cover, but promising colors for the sunset.

Same old story on the trails: let's walk fast to confuse the mosquitoes! By the way, that helps a little but they still bite!

We took our time to walk back home because the colors in the sky started to get very cool.

We also met familiar deer, the 3 brothers! At least this time, they weren't blocking our yard. Actually I'm not 100% sure they were the same because a couple blocks later, we found 2 more male deer.

And the fiery after-sunset colors became very impressive!

We were supposed to make more progress on the clean up after that, but the motivation was mostly gone and no real progress happened. Hopefully we can get things done this week.
