Cedar of Lebanon : My Actifit Report Card: July 22 2026

The ground in Goffs park is looking very dry now, and no prospect of rain for a while. We may get a passing storm if we are lucky but that is looking like only a remote possibility.

Yet another heatwave is forecast for next week. That will be the fourth heatwave this summer so far! Incredible for the uk.

Although it is so dry, the trees seem to cope better with their deeper roots. Like the marvellous example in my photo here. A healthy looking Cedar of Lebanon.

I have seen pictures of some reservoirs recently in the news. The water levels are getting very low.

I'm off to see for myself on a bike ride tomorrow to Ardingly Reservoir. 😁

Please, take adequate precaution and be safe from the heatwaves; what attracted me to your article is "cedar of Lebanon". I have heard a lot about that plant but I have never sighted it; from what I see in your post, it's beautiful to behold

Do stay cool and hydrated! Heat wave is an understatement here as we usually experience it throughout our summer months from March till May. It's strange how it's July and still warm here. I too am worried for the low water levels of our dams. Sign of the times... an advance happy weekend...
