On a previous trip to Guildford we looked for a particular sculpture of a character called Alice, from "Alice through the looking glass", a novel by Lewis Carroll. On that day we didn't find it. 🤔.
However, today we did find it concealed in a small section of the castle grounds that is hidden away off the main pathways.

The weather was wonderful all day and we enjoyed our walk here amongst some really beautiful gardens.

There was a game of bowls in progress on the bowling green while we were there.

After our visit to the castle grounds we set off to walk to the riverside path and find some shade by the river Wey.
