Today, I thought I would take another look at the Goffs Park miniature railway. This feature was originally built way back in the 1960s by a group of engineers and enthusiasts who worked in the towns factories at the time.
The original track was just a straight-up and back ride, but it was extended to include a complete loop in the 1980s.
The ride is open during the summer on Sundays and bank holidays only, and of course, weather permitting!
The gauge appears to be 5 inches, but I think they have used 3.5 inch engines in the past as well. I noticed that there is still some track left with both gauges.
As you can see, the ride was closed when I visited, but next time, I will try and get some pictures of the engines when it is open.

Ooohh looks fascinating! On my part I'd love to ride a real train. 😆 Can't wait till you share some photos of the train itself. Have a fantastic new week ahead!
