Walkies in the park : My Actifit Report Card: September 7 2025

What a lovely day to take a walk in the countryside! Temperatures about 20°C, broken clouds, a slight breeze. Perfect!

I walked with two of my daughters around Tilgate Park, bisecting the two lakes as we went along. Crossing the motorway into the outer forest.

We had an encounter with a couple of deer! Stopping to admire the animals from a distance as they grazed on grass. They just stood there. We must have been about 100 meters from them, but they did not take off immediately like they usually do. I took a couple of photos at 20x magnification on my mobile phone. I am amazed at the result.

We took a circular route back to the car park where there is a nice refreshment cabin......

I often cycle around this park and forest so I know it very well.

The conditions are still very good even with all the recent rain. Our last stop was back at the main lake for a welcome break and a coffee.
