Market day! : My Actifit Report Card: May 25 2025
Much to our surprise and pleasure, on our way to the beach today, we spotted a market. We found out that this is a regular feature here on Sundays. Situated along a long paved path away from traffic and other hazards. All the way on one side, there are beautiful flowering shrubs, looking wonderful in the sunshine.
We carried on along this long path and then through a wooded track in the direction of the beach.
Stopping for lunch at a handy bar/restaurant called Rapa Nui. A really friendly place to eat.
It was quite a steep decent to the beach along a well-kept road, which ended at the back of a sandy scrubland, in which there were ground squirrels. They approached us looking for food.
We had another good day on the beach. On this holiday, we are trying to relax more than in previous holidays where frequent excursions tired us out too much! 🤣
The lifeguard was off home, so that means it must be dinnertime. We left to head back to the hotel. Just one more day before we fly home again. .
Never mind, we are booked to come back again in eight weeks' time 😆.
One more look back at the beach. Back tomorrow!
