Dziś mieliśmy odwiedziny - przyjechali do nas Babcia i Dziadek. Przemiło. Upiekliśmy z tej okazji nasze ulubione pączusie.

Today we had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa. It was so lovely. We baked our favorite doughnuts for the occasion.

Podczas pieczenia zadzwoniła Druga Babcia, z pytaniem, jakie mamy plany w ten słoneczny dzień. Wyjrzałam za okno, faktycznie jasno i miło, ale raptem niecałe 6 stopni. Więc powiedziałam, że żadne, bo zimno, dzieci z gilami i kaszlem, pewnie pełno błota, i niech się to słońce mocno postara, bo ja mam depresję zimową i na takie byle co nie mam zamiaru wychodzić. No ale w serduszku promień słońca coś tam zdołał rozgrzać nawet przez to okno i kiedy dziadkowie wyszli zdecydowałam, że jednak wyjdziemy - zwłaszcza, że już się ociepliło i stopni było już sporo więcej.

While baking, my Second Grandma called to ask what our plans were for this sunny day. I looked out the window; it was indeed bright and pleasant, but only about 6 degrees Celsius. So I said no, it was cold, the kids were coughing and had runny noses, it was probably full of mud, and I hope the sun would do its best, because I was suffering from winter blues and didn't want to go out for anything less. But a ray of sunshine managed to warm my heart even through the window, and when my grandparents left, I decided we'd go out after all—especially since it had already warmed up and the temperatures were much higher.

Był to traf w dziesiątkę. Spędziliśmy na słońcu godzinę. Ostatni raz tak szczęśliwa byłam w Egipcie ;p jezuu niech to słońce wróci na dobre.
Wiem, że to dopiero koniec lutego, że zima może jeszcze uderzyć mocno. Z drugiej strony obejrzałam zdjęcia z zeszłego roku i np. 7 marca robiliśmy grilla na budowie, niektórzy w sweterkach, inni w samych koszulkach. Więc spytam nieśmiało: może to już...? 😍😍😍

It was a perfect opportunity. We spent an hour in the sun. The last time I was this happy was in Egypt ;p gee, let the sun return for good.
I know it's only the end of February, so winter could still hit hard. On the other hand, I looked at photos from last year, and on March 7th, for example, we had a barbecue at the construction site, some in sweaters, others just T-shirts. So I'll ask timidly: maybe it's already...? 😍😍😍
