My Actifit Report Card: October 20 2026

Do you ever wonder what you would be like if you had a good business or a good paying job and vice versa. I had seen the impact of good money coming our way instead of our usual problems with money. Let me tell you a little bit of background story.

For the past six years I have been going to the same coffee shop for a cup of tea early in the morning and at night. At first the person working there to make tea is on a daily basis wage payment.

During the time of his payments in the form of wage, he used to open the shop early in the morning at 5:30. You have to consider the fact that to open the shop at that time he should get ready for it at least an hour before that. Then at around 9:30 he will have his meals there itself and closes the shop at around 12:00 or 12:30PM.

Then again at 3:00PM he would come again and start the exact same work up until night at 9:00PM and by the time he closes the shop it would be around 9:30 or 9:45PM. For this entire work per day he would get Rs.900/-. This is his daily wage rate.

After four years the owner of the shop has made an arrangement with him that he will pay Rs.30000/- per month and whatever he can make through selling tea will be his. He has gone from wage rate to taking profit from his business.

After one year he has bought a bike and after that day by day he gradually stopped opening that shop daily and was only interested in opening the days when the profits would be higher like Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

When asked why he didn't open during these days he would say some silly excuses like hospitals and functions to cover the fact that to make people think that he is not getting huge profits. During the time when he was getting wage rate, he would not leave even a single day even if he had a fever too.

But, after becoming an owner like the behaviour of that person has also changed. Taking to some customers like he can do business without them too. Right then I had a better understanding of how people will react if they have money and if they don't.

The characteristics of a person would change with the money. If money flows, pride will prevail and lack of money will make them obedient. I'm not talking or passing judgement on all, certain people lack integrity and would change depending on the power they possess. This is my real experience based on the people I met.

So, for today I woke up early in the morning and did some daily chores at home and then in the evening I did some walking and at night a good meal and sleep.
