Education Should Be for Everyone – Here's Why

Education is one of the fundamental human rights that is essential to meet up with the fast-paced world and technology-driven generation we're in, and without the basic education we all know, it's quite difficult to meet up with the damage of the present world, and I'm sure that's one of the reasons it was included in the fundamental human rights. Unfortunately, despite it being a fundamental human right, not all have what it takes to be educated or get a quality education in this present world, and that's why there has been an outcry for education to be made free for all regardless of the country or continent they're in.

I'm one of the many who agree with the fact that education should be made accessible to all regardless of the status of the family, community, or country at large, and that's because equal access to quality education will go on to bring about progress to all nations of the world. An educated society is one that has the possibility to compete with top nations in technology, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and several other aspects. Having this, in my opinion go on to reduce the rate at which third countries produce leaders that lack knowledge on how to groom the economy of the country to peak.

When you look around at the world today, one thing you'll notice is the huge difference in not just the development of the various nations we've got, but also the huge gap in intelligence among the people, and the reason for that isn't far-fetched, which is the unequal access to education. While some parts of the world have access to education, others don't, and if they do, it's a substandard education in both the content of what's taught, which is absolute, and the facilities and the capability of the educators.

One of the reasons why these parents can't give their children access to education or quality education is due to their inability to afford it or the cost of education being overly expensive, and that's why I believe it's ideal for education to be made free to all so that all around the world we can have a balance in the level of education, access to education, universal curriculum, and access to quality learning aids that improve learning; with all of these made available and accessible for free, I'm certain the world would become a better place for all.

When education is made free to all, a child from a rural community can dream beyond the borders of their immediate environment; a girl child won't be bound by the society norms that her place is in the kitchen, going on to dream and become doctors, lawyers, and the like. One thing I've learned through my years as a student and now a teacher is that education births self-awareness, and self-awareness breeds potential. The society would also benefit from this because the level of ignorance reduces drastically, making the community healthier, safer, and ultimately, when members of a community are educated, they become assets and not liabilities.

Overall, like I said before, I agree with the need to make education free for all; it impacts society too, and one of the impacts of making education accessible is even more profound, because we'll have a world where innovations don’t just come from privileged societies but from every corner of the earth, so I think we should fight for education being made free for all, because when the world at large doesn't make education accessible to all, we're not only depriving that individual of their rights but also indirectly delaying the world's progress.

This was so powerful to read. Indeed, when education is free, children from the rural areas can dream beyond borders. Sometimes I wonder if there’s probably a child in the village who was to grow and become a doctor to help find the cure for some of these chronic diseases but couldn’t because of this same education issue.

That's just it, we never know the potential that has been buried in this rural places because they don't have access to quality education.

Education is key. Knowledge is power. And we get knowledge from education. Indeed, taking away the so many bills away from education might have its down sides but then, it will give a lot of people the opportunity to dream big and not feel limited at any point. Some people just quickly give up on their dreams of become who they want because they know even dreaming about that life alone feels like an abomination judging from their background but that shouldn’t be so.

Every child and everyone should have the right and opportunity to dream about things and it will help a whole lot of education is made free to anyone and everyone willing to learn.

That's just it, a lot of dreams and aspirations has been killed due to lack of finances to sponsor their education, if it's made free and accessible to a, they would itself would progress at a fast-pace.

That’s right! It’s going to be hard to make education completely free because there is a school of thought that people don’t value things that are readily available to them.

This is so lovely. First of all I was captivated by the uniform of the students. It looks so lovely on them. I really love the color combinations too.

Education should be given to everyone free, but the kind leaders we have today have made it very impossible that even when it is said to be free, the child will end up paying for almost everything.
Only God can help us.
Thanks for sharing
