BTC and Hive working together
BTC is the oldest and most well-known crypto currency out there. It is famous for its value and its decentralisation. Unfortunately, the block size makes BTC not really usable for e-commerce. Some attempts like the lightening network have tried to provide an answer but it's not really satisfactory.
Hive is actually already offering a solution for this problem. In the video, I show you how you can use Hive to transact BTC and how it would easily be possible to create an e-commerce solution for BTC using Hive.
The great thing about it is that all the pieces are already in place!

Thank you very much for this, Achim. I've been aware of this for a while, and not only for BTC, but also for many other cryptocurrencies from other chains that have a SWAP counterpart here. One of the many diesel/liquidity pools in which I have assets is the SWAP.BTC:POB pool, where I receive SWAP.BTC as a reward every day. I keep adding more liquidity to it every day, which augments what I receive. It's pretty brilliant! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Adding liquidity to such a pool makes sense and it can be an interesting income source. I just try to avoid putting in pools where the token pairs don't show the same value development for impremanent loss reasons.
The diesel/liquidity pools have definitely become a notable source of daily income for me, and I keep going deeper into them because I keep making more and more. Yes, I definitely understand that. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

BTC is funny. Practically speaking it's overpriced, but considering the investors I can understand why it has become so famous and valuable. SWAP.BTC is so easy to overlook as an investment. SWAP.BTC and SWAP.HBD with SWAP.HIVE between them you have a perfect trading system, fast and with no fees!
Hive-engine is really a great trading place. Especially thanks to diesel pools that allow you to swap tokens with a very small spread and almost no fees!
Thats a great reminder and a super solution to store BTC but with feeless transactions on Hive. I know it would not be pleasing to the BTC purists out there, but it is very handy. I have started stacking some Swap.BTC. Are there any diesel pools you like with BTC?
I also started to stack some swap.btc. The diesel pool swap.hive:swap.btc has a huge volume with quite a lot of fees. According to tribaldex, the pool produces around 300$ worth of fees per month! With both tokens moving quite in parallel, I think it's a great pool to provide some liquidity.
I was thinking that would be one to look at, although I wasnt sure about the fees. 😀

I have seen the SWAP.BTC feature but I just don't really know if I want to put them on Hive Engine. I just think people are use to lightning to pay for small transactions and I agree that it could be cheaper if people moved towards this structure though.
I don't really take BTC from outside and put them here but I try to swap for some btc on hive-engine. It's a nice way to accumulate BTC without having to deal with transactions fees.

Thanks for sharing! I personally prefer to use BNB (SWAP.BNB) for any conversion out from Hive because I think the transaction fees are lower compared to ETH and BTC.

! help(no space) to get help on Hive. InfoBNB is definitely more economical than ETH, BTC. When I want to export money out of hive, I use LTC, this is even cheaper :-)
