Saturday at the gym, and I can officially check my workout off the list! 💪✨ I have to admit that weekends sometimes make me a little lazy. After spending the week working, attending consultations, and taking care of everything else, staying home and relaxing sounds like a pretty good plan. 😂
But today I decided to put on my workout clothes, grab my water bottle, and come train for a while. And I'm glad I did!
I really like this gym because of its atmosphere. The brick walls, the big mirrors, the equipment, and that slightly rustic feeling make it a nice place to spend some time focusing on myself. And of course, I couldn't resist taking a photo in this mirror. 🤭📸
Something I've been learning is that taking care of ourselves doesn't always have to involve big changes or complicated routines. Sometimes it's simply about making small decisions that, over time, become part of our everyday lives.
As a nutritionist, I know that physical activity and good nutrition go hand in hand, but I also believe that enjoying the process is just as important. We don't have to exercise to compensate for what we ate or punish ourselves for enjoying a delicious meal. We can exercise because we like feeling stronger, having more energy, and doing something good for our health. 🌿
And honestly, that's the relationship I want to continue building with exercise. I want to enjoy my workouts, celebrate my progress, and understand that some days will be better than others.
Today I felt comfortable in my green leggings and gray top, and I was happy to have made time for myself. Nothing extraordinary, just another Saturday doing something I enjoy. 💚
Workout done, mirror selfie taken, and now it's time to enjoy the rest of the weekend without feeling guilty about resting. 🥰✨
Getting it done on a Saturday when the couch is calling @avilaluze - that's the hardest workout of the week 💪🏽
