Hello everyone!!
Wishing you all a great and blissful day/evening!!
Here's another recipe for tofu that I wanted to share with you. It's "spicy braised tofu", it is just a simple way of cooking, and yet it tastes so good and yummy.
Braising tofu is a cooking technique that combines dry and wet; it is done by searing or frying the tofu first to develop a golden-brown crust and to make it crispy. Then simmer it in a savory sauce. So, let's take a look at how I simply made it.
(I'm sorry I forgot to take a photo of garlic powder, salt and liquid seasoning. I just added it while preparing and cooking.)
❤
Pat and dry the tofu, and then cut them into a triangular shape or any shape you like.
Crack two eggs and beat them, then whisk or coat the sliced tofu. Then set aside.
Wash the cauliflower and then cut it.
Wash the tomatoes and then cut or slice them.
Wash and peel ginger, then cut into strips.
Wash the green chili, then cut it into small pieces.
Wash the spring onion, then cut it into small pieces. Separate the green from the white.
Wash the cabbage and cut out the hard part.
Then make a sauce in a bowl out of soy sauce, tomato sauce, Knorr liquid seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.
Set them all aside, and we'll prepare the pan for cooking.
❤
Heat some canola oil in a pan and then fry the coated tofu until they are all done.
After cooking, transfer them to a plate and set aside.
Let's heat the pan or cooker again. Put a little amount of canola oil and then sauté green chili, white spring onion and ginger until aromatic. Then add tomatoes and sauté them together. Then, a minute later, add and sauté the cauliflower.
And then put the cabbage and cover the pan until the cabbage is slightly wilted. Then pour in the sauce. Let it simmer for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, remove the cabbage and set it aside.
❤
Then add the fried tofu. Season it with a little of the Magic Sarap seasoning and add soy sauce only if needed. Cover the pan again and continue to simmer for another 3 minutes, then add the green spring onions. Then continue cooking for only 2 minutes.
There it is, all done and ready to serve while hot. I also set aside some sautéed tomato and sautéed green chili for garnish.
And look how beautiful it is aside from its spicy and savory taste. A big smile from my daughter @tegoshei again as she is a tofu lover.
That would be all for today, and I hope you like this dish too.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for reading my post.
God bless...😊🙏💖
That looks delicious! I had never thought of combining tofu with cauliflower and cabbage, but I'm sure it tastes great. Thanks for the idea, I'll keep it in mind
Hi there... I first saw it in one of the chef I followed on social media, I was really curious too. Out of curiosity, I search it on google if they are a good pair and it says with a bit long explanation...heheh
That's why I tried to cook with a little twist of my own version and with the ingredients that I have and luckily it really tastes good and the main ingredients are such a good blend.
Thank you so much for stopping by and for the kind support.🙂❣
Oh it is yummy tofu right there. I like this recipe, but would use less chili hehe
I can't tolerate super spicy too, but my husband and daughter really love spicy food. 🔥🥰
Thank you so much for stopping by..💖
It's not simple to look. It's very creative with so many ingredients
