#TheDailyFlame - (2-5 May) + HSBI Giveaway
The Daily Flame
The #DailyFlame posts document and keep track of my daily braai (aka BBQ for our international friends). The ideal is for me to post 1 of them every day, but I do a lot of travelling and internet isn't always available and/or the events I'm at are just TOO busy for me to be able to push out a post.
For those of you that don't know me, that is sort of my thing... Yes... I "braai" every single day... check out my website for more about that: https://braaiboy.co.za/about-braaiboy/
... but then almost more importantly, this post will also act as a bit of encouragement for you to do the same, and share the results of you doing so in the comments below.
For those of you that go to the effort of sharing a braai/BBQ picture in the comments, I'll be picking a random winner to win 1 x HSBI share.
P.S. For every pic that I post there will be 1 x HSBI to give away... i.e. I don't always get to post every day, so on the days when I post 3 or 4 'catch-up pics', I'll be giving away that may HSBI in that post.
In my last post I told you that @BaasDeBeer and I were going to fuse the music & braai communities & lifestyles right here on HIVE and share them with you... and we got off to a flying start. We recorded 5 musos that were keen to enter @lordbutterfly 's Vibes Web3 Music Competition.
I created @ptoussa 's account for him and was all set to hold his hand through the posting process when I bumped into a partner/sponsor at a mate's pub. Turns out they were headed to Sodwana Bay the next day (far north up along the South African coast) for a huge event and needed some help with the catering.
Not being one to shy away from an adventure, I told them I'd jump in the car with them and head out to Sodwana for the next ~10 days. I organised with all our musos that I'd do all their posting for them (my only duties at the event would be to cook every evening... so I'd have lots of time every day). HAHAAHAHA... Road to hell being paved with good intentions and all :P
Sodwana is pretty remote... World-Renowned for SCUBA and catching BillFish in the ocean... but not much else (including a crucial part of my onboarding plan... INTERNET access) ;-)
Anyway, long story short: We dropped the ball getting all our musos onboard, and I also fell behind a bit with my #DailyFlame posts. We'll try the onboarding again this week, and over the next 2 or 3 posts I'll play catch-up on #DailyFlame.

... Fortunately I already have a bit of a following on Web 2.0... so please follow me there (links at the end of this post)... and if you have any, please tag your South African friends in those posts... I'm gonna be making a concerted effort this year to get a lot of (braai/BBQ enthusiasts from South African at the very least) into HIVE... but obviously it would be a lot easier with some help from the community.

That is sweet! Africa is one of two continents I haven't had the pleasure to explore. Not counting Antarctica... though that would be awesome. Africa and Asia I've not spent much time there. Mozambique would be a cool place to visit!
