Vaccines: My Honest Take

Right from the earliest days of humanity, we've faced countless diseases, from mild to devastating ones, such as measles, COVID, eboka and polio, that suddenly break out in communities and leave the people in fear and uncertainty of what to do, which further cement the existence of sickness in every part of the human story. Then came science , the discovery and introduction of vaccines, which are basically meant to trigger the human immune system to defend itself against these diseases. The truth is that at first it sounds like a wonderful solution; in fact, it was for some diseases, but is that the case for all?

But, if I'm being honest with you all, it's worth noting that I'm not completely sold on the idea of vaccines. Yes, I agree with the fact that there are a few that have been helpful to humanity and proven over time that they're effective, especially those administered during childhood. However, with time and as I grow older and become more aware, this has made me develop some curiosity and concern regarding what we put into our bodies and why. My skepticism deepened with the emergence of the COVID-19 vaccine and the aftermath for the majority of those who took it.

Let's just say things didn't sit right with me from the beginning, especially regarding how fast the vaccines were developed, pressure from the government and institutions, not forgetting how we've got a whole lot of waves of censorship on any opposing views made by the hesitant, and most of all the statements by Bill Gates that circulated around that time regarding the need to drastically reduce the population of humans on earth. Although it might be fake or AI-generated speech, I decided I won't be taking the vaccine, and that's based on my personal decision after my observation, research, and the endless stories I heard regarding those who suffered adverse side effects after getting vaccinated.

The superstition surrounding that speech by Bill Gates and the death toll that followed those who took the vaccine made it seem true that in truth the system is working towards reducing the population of the world, especially when it's done while placing everyone under lockdown so we can't see what's really going on.Ironically, aside from those who died after taking the vaccine, we still see people who still contracted the virus despite taking the vaccine, which further raises the question of if the solution in place was worse than the disease itself. I mean the vaccine was meant to protect, but instead it's causing a lot of chaos and, sadly, more loss of life.

It's not like I'm entirely trying to discredit the effectiveness of some vaccines, in fact I've seen people who who strongly believes in it and are living fine, I've seen a friend take an hepatitis vaccine before getting married to her positive spouse and till date she didn't contact the virus, so it did work, but for COVID, I don't believe it, I respect those people who believe in vaccines opinion, afterall we all have the right to decided what we feel is best for our health.

Overall, my health is much responsibility, and while I acknowledge that some vaccines plays vital role in public health, yet I remain cautious regarding new rushed vaccines like the one for COVID 19, and that's why I choose to my health with both wisdom and awareness.

It isn't a matter of believing or not... vaccines aren't like religion. There is scientific based research behind it. Just google and do your own research about it.

I've done my research, while I agree with many of this vaccines and took some myself, I'm still skeptical about COVID vaccine given the loads of side effects that lead to many death or people still contacting the virus despite taking the vaccine.

That is one major reason I didn't take the COVID-19 vaccine I feel like there is something that isn't right about the whole thing.

After a while, I started hearing stories of how this same vaccine that was supposed to protect them harm also caused harm to them.

0E-8 BEE

Exactly my reasons as well, it ought to be perfected before being administered worldwide, but they seems to be in a hurry to to make everyone take it.

I do believe until proven otherwise skepticism is encouraged especially in order to prove controversies like what happened in COVID era

I feel only naive people discredit the benefit of vaccines, do you know how people died before science discovered vaccines.

Vaccines is one of the best thing that happened to humanity.

0E-8 BEE

It's not about being naive to me but being reasonable enough to know what's best for us, while vaccines has greatly improve lives, same can't be said for COVID vaccine, or how will they explain the loads of people who didn't get the vaccine and yet reside amongst us today, while thousands of people who took the vaccine ended up dying or contacting the virus still.

0E-8 BEE

Hmmm! I still wonder why all these things happened during COVID-19. I saw few persons that took the vaccine and what they said made me afraid and I wasn't ready to take it then. I don't also think that I am ready for it now because I have not fully understand their mission.

Yea we all saw the happening of COVID and how it put the world at standstill, the vaccine is one aspect that makes people some scared due to how it react on people.

0E-8 BEE

I learned those statements by Bill Gates were fake though, I didn't take the vaccine either, not because I don't believe, but because I wasn't forced to like the frontline
workers.

Yes it looks like it's was AI generated, but all happenings were making it seems like it's true, especially when more people who took the COVID vaccine ended up contacting the virus or even dying.

0E-8 BEE

We all have different things to believe about vaccines but I think it is for a better purpose. There are many superstitions and rumors surrounding vaccines and that's where the problem is.

0E-8 BEE

Vaccines generally are great and have helped lives, the only one I'm skeptical about is that of COVID.

0E-8 BEE

I remember that period of Covid-19 people were so scared of taking the vaccine. Vaccine is so important for humanity.

0E-8 BEE

It's important, but the outcome of COVID vaccine on Many was scary.

0E-8 BEE

My fear for all these vaccines increase daily with all the bad news that has been associated with it lately, and all these is because of the fake drugs going around

0E-8 BEE

Vaccines are now money driven, people have terrible intentions using it as a weapon or tool which makes no sense. I don't blame people who do not trust vaccination anymore because I am also one of them.

I can't put my life at risk all in the name taking vaccines.

Everyone’s immune system is different and so we are all bound to react differently to a vaccine.

I took the Covid shot even though I didn’t get Covid and I’ve been totally fine. A friend of mine had Covid and the shot saved her. Today, she’s living just fine.

Sometimes our belief alone is enough to keep us healthy.
