CraftInk is back after the summer break. Actually there was no summer break, but some events in real life and the work on the HiQ delayed the schedule. However, the team doesn't want to leave you hanging with your booster packs, but to create transparency. Therefore, here are the topics that were worked on during the past few weeks:

• New CraftInk Post Layout: From now on CraftInk Broadcasting System (short CIBS) will bring you the most important info around CraftInk in regular intervals! Nicely structured and in short form as Newsflash for those who are already tired of it and in more detailed form in the Nerd News for all who want to know more!
• CraftInk in Real Life: More and more people are minting CraftInk cards in real life! At an internal Meetup and at the HiveCamp at Lake Constance you can admire physical CraftInk cards!
• Minigame Unveiling: The development of the minigame is in full swing! We can expect an idle game of the extra class. Wen? Soon!
• CraftInk idle Mode (CiM): Create your Team Blend and Skill Blends as NFTs soon, and fight in exciting 5 battle rounds to score points and achieve victory!
• CraftInk idle Mode box (CiMb): Experience the future of gaming with CraftInk's CiMb NFT! Simply burn your CiMb NFTs to get your cards back!

CraftInk in Real Life

The CraftInk Editorial Office Boosterpack Edition apparently goes around at various Hive Meetups. The CraftInk team met the week before last and played CraftInk extensively with physical printed cards during the meetup. Strategists, newcomers and TCG professionals all got their money's worth.

Also, a public Meetup "Hive Camp Bodensee" will have CraftInk cards printed and even host the first public physical CraftInk tournament. There will also be CraftInk prizes to be won. For this event, the organizer @blue.rabbit has commissioned a rulebook. The CraftInk team will publish the rulebook on the CraftInk Wiki afterwards.

Minigame Unveiling

For the first time, the silence about the minigame is broken. Minigame? In the meantime, the concept has degenerated into a midigame, and the CraftInk team has been developing the CraftInk minigame for a few weeks now. Up to now, only a few breadcrumbs were scattered about in the HiQ publications and many of you surely thought that nothing would come of it. But of course that's not the case, so now we want to reveal a bit here.

Shortly summarized: You create and register your team and send it into passive battles against the teams of other users.

For this you will need Team and Skill Blends. You can strengthen your Team Blend with Skill Blends. With active Skill Blends you increase the performance of your team in passive battles. It has also been tried to balance the skillgap of the cards of the individual users over the course of time. For this purpose, several leagues will be set up, similar to football. The individual teams will then be divided into these leagues each season.

CraftInk idle Mode (CiM)

According to official information, CraftInk idle Mode (CiM for short) will be the name of the mini-game. We are no longer talking about just any mini-game, but CiM, which will become an integral part of the CraftInk universe in order to enable passive players to earn rewards as well.

In order to play CiM, a Team Blend and Skill Blends are required. In order to register a Team Blend and Skill Blends for CiM, CraftInk must generate an NFT containing your Team Blend or Skill Blends.

In 5 rounds of battle, the players each take the role of attacker and defender, respectively, in turn. Assuming each player has a lineup of 5 characters, the characters at position 1, 2 and 3 are responsible for the attack. In the case of defense, this includes the characters in slots 3, 4 and 5. The first two slots are attack only and the last two are defense only. The middle slot, however, is the wildcard or sweeper and thus usable for both cases.

When the evaluation of a round starts, the number of dice of the attacker cards (seen in the red squares on the character cards) are added together and of the defender as well. The team that rolls the highest number with their dice per round wins that round. In this constellation, draws are also possible. So the team with the most points after 5 rounds wins.

The winner of such a match gets 3 points for the season and the loser goes empty-handed. In case of a draw, both players get 1 point each.

CraftInk idle Mode box (CiMb)

Now let's imagine a user wants to register a Team Blend and two Skill Blends for a CiM Season. The user sends the required cards ingame to @craftink (or another designated account) and the CraftInk backend creates a CiMb NFT for the Team Blend and two CiMb NFTs for the Skill Blends containing the sent cards and properties. This CiMb NFT is then sent to the player. As long as the player holds his CiMb NFTs, he can play CiM.

There will be a CiMb NFT for the game itself, which contains the Team Blend and separate CiMb NFTs, which contain the Skill Blends and unlock skills for the player for the battles. This way your Team Blend and Skill Blends should always be trackable onchain. If you no longer want to play or want to revise your strategy, you simply burn your CiMb NFTs and get all your cards back.
