Wrapping Up A Year of Growth in Hive for 2023

Foreword/Introduction
Hello guys, 2023 is coming to a close, so it's time to do a wrap up for the year and how I've grown in Hive.

Goal Review

I am happy to announce that I have met both of the goals I have set. What a journey it had been, especially on the Hive Power which caused me to revised my goal 3 times to the final one. Sorry for the trouble @shanibeer for keep revising the goal. To be able to hit my goals, there are way too many people to thank. Let me cover this in a later segment.

Saturday Savers Club

What is Saturday Savers Club?
The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have some fun in the process. Saving is a skill that takes time and practice to acquire and, like learning any skill, doesn't always go the way you planned.

A Year In The Club
Wow, the year passed us so fast. It has been a great year, where I see so many amazing individuals in the club doing well with their goals. The key thing about being in a community of savers is that it motivates you. There are days where you just feel like buying some stuff within the block chain such as game NFTs, but when you see everyone else is also doing their best to save, you will think again if the spending is a need or a want, adhere to budget and keep an eye on the saving goal.

Various members in the club also shared practical tips in their saving and help us to take baby steps as we embark on our savings journey. One special thing that happened was the No Buy Month for September. That was really amazing because it helped me to relook at necessities and what I truly need, from that many opportunities in unnecessary spending surfaced and from there I kept watch on those and set an upper bound to ensure I do not overspend in those areas.

While saving is happening here in the blockchain, it mirrored into my actual life where I become more careful with my spending and do my homework for any form of investment. In actual life, I've also manage to improve my savings in my bank and have enough for a short vacation in Bali. Below is a picture I took from Mount Batur of the sunrise view of Mount Agung during my vacation in Bali.

The best thing that the club had given me was the discipline to keep saving and not rushing to things. When we do so, you'll be surprised how much you can save.

Gratitude List
2023 was a year of saving and growth breakthroughs. I have many people to thank for this awesome year and the few individuals below have been my motivation pillar in this journey.

@shanibeer - For running the Saturday Savers Club to help everyone keep track of their progress and ensure week after week, every member is reminded of the goal they have set. Not only that, the various contest and sponsorship to help keep us going in the form of HSBI and EDSMM.

@relf87 - My metafren buddy whom has always been supporting me and giving me practical assessment of my holdings and any good opportunities available for me to grow my assets/savings since I joined the metafren discord. He also delegates his HP to me whenever he goes on vacation to help me grow further.

@blitzzzz - Another fellow metafren from metafren discord whom have rendered his support for me since I've joined. He also never hesitate to share me amazing and practical advice whenever I asked for his opinion.

@benthomaswwd - The one whom I've chanced upon his post to be introduced to the Alive and Thriving tribe. In it, I've met many amazing people whom have great perseverance to be really Alive and Thriving. Ben and his amazing team, does curation collections and contest very regularly to help everyone in the tribe to grow. Kudos to you Ben for the amazing work you've done for the heartbeat project!

@ravenmus1c - Another amazing individual that I've met in the community. She makes great music and even manages her own discord. She has been an inspiration for me with her dedication to the blockchain and within her discord, she set up a section called the "The Queen's Oracle" to help answer any queries about the blockchain and any of the Hive games. Closing
It is definitely an amazing 2023 for my saving journey. 2024 I believe will be another exciting year for savings and growth. Until next time, keep saving and growing!
