I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #471 - Hive, Hyper-Focus, and Balance - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Friday, November 10, 2023

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Since I first arrived here on the Blockchain 2 years, 1 month, 2 weeks, and 5 days ago, I've given Hive a pretty solid amount of focus, because I knew even back then that Hive was important. When my relationship with my ex-girlfriend Kai ended just before my birthday last year, all of my devotion that I had for her was refocused on Hive. Since that time, and moving back to the jungle at GaiaYoga Gardens more than a year ago, Hive has become the primary focus in my day, to the point of hyper-focus. This has allowed me to build and grow my account, and to progress on Hive, quite quickly, which is a very good thing. I've also become one of the top most active and consistent individuals on the Blockchain, giving my all to Hive every day.

My passion and love for Hive, and my belief in it, have grown stronger the longer I've been here, and that won't change, as far as I can tell. Balance, however, is something that I've been feeling strongly is necessary in my life once again. Because of experiencing a sequence of quite heart-breaking events in my life over the past year and a half, beginning with my breakup with Kai, in some notable ways I pulled back from life to a large degree. Most of my attention, time, energy, and efforts have gone to Hive, with some on the side going to Arch Linux, my plants, and sessions. While this has been useful in many ways, my heart is calling for more. I'm being called to put my attention on these parts of my life and myself that I pushed away and forgot, because of the pain that I experienced in relation to them, and to reintegrate them back into wholeness.

I've basically almost completely filled my time with Hive (and to slightly lesser extent Arch Linux), with little time left for human connections, going out to do fun stuff, my plants, or any kind of regular integral practice. So yeah, a rebalacing is needed. I still don't know exactly how I'm going to do that just yet, because as I said, my time is now pretty full, as I utilize every little bit that I have. Hive requires a lot of time. Or maybe I've created my Hive experience in a way that it requires a lot of time. In any case, this is likely going to be a little challenging, taking time away from Hive to give to other things in my life. I have no idea how it's going to go yet.

I need go find a way to be able to be passionately all in on Hive and to be able to have a balanced and meaningful life in my day-to-day reality. Hive is my home, so I'm not going anywhere, I just need to bring energy and vitality back into certain parts of myself and my life. I'm an extraordinary fellow, I just forgot that a bit. It's time to remember and reconnect.

I left the Flow House yesterday around 4PM, later than I was hoping, after my morning-to-afternoon round of Hive essential tasks, and a lot of catching up on my seemingly-infinite notifications. I took a short time to walk around first to take photos for this post, and for @barski's photo contests, before putting my focus on land work. When I was ready to work, I did some paid bamboo propagation in Ano's nursery until sunset. I had wanted to work with the plants in my nursery and in the garden, too, but I didn't have sufficient time before it got dark. I really do need to wrap up Hive earlier in the day, so that I can devote time to important things on the land.

After I finished working, I took a shower, strained out more kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, made food for myself, got food for my kitten friend, then I returned to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive tasks, and lots more catching up. While I got through a big chunk of notifications, I was still only able to get to within 16 hours of being fully up to date before I got too sleepy to continue. I finally crashed into bed around 12:30AM. I woke up at 4AM, and unable to sleep, did a round of token management on Hive, then a big push to catch up on notifications, before going back to sleep for a little while. When I woke up again, I did another good round of catching up. I got a lot done, getting to within 6 hours of being fully caught up, before beginning this post. Unfortunately I forgot to do @benthomaswwd's @heartbeatonhive contest (I remembered as I was writing this). Doh! I'll do better tomorrow.

It's now just past 1:30PM, so it's a very good time to end this post, so that I can focus on my afternoon round of Hive essentials, more catch-up, and then land work later in the afternoon. I have no idea how I'm going to reallocate my time...🤣 In any case, I deeply appreciate you all very much! Until tomorrow! Oward and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
