⚰️⚰️ Dumbest Way to Die ?!?? ⚰️⚰️

This is the story of Mark, Mark Gleeson.

He will forever be remembered for dieing in the dumbest way possible. Or at least he will be in the pantheon for the category of dumbest ways to die.

Mark Gleeson was a 26 year old fella from Hampshire that suffered from a really bad case of snoring. Reportedly, doctors had told him his case was incurable.

But Mark said fuck doctors and came with an ingenious plan. He took some of his girlfriend's tampons and stuffed them up his nose before going to bed. His girlfriend apparently also liked the idea:

"It just happened. The conversation just came up about the snoring and we both agreed that was what he would do."

And thus Mark went to bed. And slept. And died from suffocation 😅

His girlfriend found him the next day dead with the tampons up his nose and a pathologist later confirmed the death due to asphyxiation, possibly aided by the sleeping tablets he was taking regularly.

Some die by old age. Some die during heroic actions. And some die with a couple of tampons up their nose. What a way to go!

This story happened almost 30 years ago back in 1996. I guess it's no longer "too soon" to blog about this in a humorous way.

That is tragic on so many fronts. How could they think that blocking an air passage was a good idea? And then the indignity of it. Tops the hacked tape by Prince Charles (now King). No, I won't quote that tape here.

Bad enough to die so bizarrely, but to be remembered forever in news reports that way...😧

As much as I would like to classify this as death by, toxic shock syndrome, or a freak nosebleed but you can't beat this kind of stupid. And we'd think that natural selection would weed out this level of intelligence sooner.

Alright, I'm not sure how to react to this. I bet his girlfriend was thrilled he came up with that idea. Finally, she could sleep without someone snoring all the time. I just wonder if she was happy before he passed away or after. And how did your boyfriend pass away? Oh, it was nothing, he put a tampon up his nose. What the heck? ;))

Definitely not the "look" I'm going for on my deathbed. I mean come on, even the heroine syringe in the arm look is far better... Not the mark anyone really wants to leave on the world, dying with tampons stuffed up your nose!
