If There is A Law…

We may be from different countries, have different colors, and beliefs. But, when it comes to the stomach, most people do not joke with what goes into it. We all have meals that make the stomach growl right away even when we are not hungry. And those dishes reign from our local dishes to intercontinental one's.

To answer the HiveGhana Community Contest of favorite food or foods, I'll be speaking on two meals that I love eating because I am not sure I have a favorite meal. Haha.

The first meal on the list is beans which isn't that good for my health but, I always follow the quote, "what doesn't kill you make you stronger" whenever I crave this meal. It goes with, "If I perish, I perish, but I am going to taste every up and down of you". Hehe, and I happened to cook this delicious food three days ago and I love how lots of fishes are dancing in it.

To tell you, I love beans so much that I am absolutely ready to sell whoever is reading this post for it 😄. Don't worry, you are safe. But I am crazy about eating this food and always savor each moment I spend with it. And I must confess I over fed myself when I ate the beans some days ago which wasn't funny as I couldn't eat again for the whole day.

Another meal which is always my go to meal is a Ghanaian food known as Kenke which others also calls Donkunu. Eating this meal is always on my to do list and It is kind of sad that I don't have an image of it now.

This food is made with corn and I love the fresh and black pepper attached to it and it will be crazy not to mention the fish that comes with it. The meal is greatly made to make you feel loved and wanted and my taste buds always love tasting it.

And, I will choose this meal over other foods especially rice which is mostly the main dish in Nigeria. It is believed that a day or week without rice in a Nigerian home isn't the one you can proudly speak of. To be fair, I haven't come across any home in Nigeria where rice is ever absent and I respect that.

But I can go weeks without rice and still enjoy eating things I have fun eating like the meals aforementioned.

Also there is another meal I will always and forever go for and that's sea foods like catfish. My love for catfish is unconditional and we cannot be separated whenever my mind calls for it and my taste bud wants. And the most interesting part of this is that, having to eat this meal doesn't cost much. It is pocket friendly and good for the body and soul.

I don't know about others either in this country or other countries, but I do know this. I do not joke with those meals. I would choose them over and over again if there is a law to go through the remainder of my life with some meals.

Still yours truly,
Balikis.

Thanks for reading.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.

I can eat beans especially when iced. Weird right? I love beans too, especially without anything extra like bread or garri

One man's food is another man poison, haha 😀. I can't do without rice and plantain..I really don't like beans, sorry for sounding weird. I manage to eat beans sometimes only because is the only cheapest way to get protein apart from plantain.

You never mention any swallow! Where are you from?

Haha... I Stan with your introductory line. Wawu, now I want to ask if you are tall as the belief states about eating beans🤣🤣🤣.

Hehe.... I take swallow but just some. I am not really a big fan😉

I love beans as well. Never will a week go by without me preparing it for my family and my kids love it as well 😘, especially with plantain.

Hahaha, Balikis the beans eater, lol. Hope you won't be causing environmental pollution whenever you pass by 😂

I eat beans too but usually takes a while before I do. These days I convert them to moi moi or akara

That catfish dish looks so enticing. Reading through this just made me discover that rice isn't my favourite meal after all but my go-to safe meal to avoid making a bad choice of a dish when out of the house. I would say Abacha and Nkwobi are my two favourite meals not that I am of the tribe that it originated from.

I wouldn't say I like beans, I occasionally consume beans and bread or plantain. The reason why I started eating beans as a kid was because of the rumour that says it will make you taller, I was kind of short has a kid, which I hated a lot. I eventually became tall but I can't say it is because of the beans 😂

Catfish, damn!!, Especially catfish pepper soup, I can consume any amount of it, anytime, anywhere 😂
