Beach-Showdown qualifier 25.1

Guten Abend, liebe Hivians und Actifitter,

Viele Schritte sind heute gar nicht zusammen gekommen, da ich tatsächlich die meiste Zeit des Tages in der Hängematte im Garten verbracht habe. Bei Temperaturen um die 30°C sollte man sich auch gar nicht so viel bewegen. Also habe ich mir die Haut von der Sonne brutzeln lassen und dabei einen Batman-Comic bzw. eine Graphic Novelle gelesen (Teil 1 von der Tod der Familie). Die Graphic-Novelle kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Heute Vormittag habe ich zusammen mit einem Partner das erste Qualifikations-Workout für das Beach-Showdown gemacht. Um sich für das Beach-Showdown zu qualifizieren muss man 3 Workouts bestreiten und dabei möglichst gut abschneiden. Die Besten Teams dürfen dann Anfang September zum Finalen Beach-Showdown am Strand von Zandvoort und sich dort mit den Besten Teams in seiner Kategorie messen.

Das erste Workout mit dem Namen Weight Breakers bestand aus einem AMRAP von 12 Minuten. In diesen 12 Minuten muss man soviel Wiederholungen machen von:

3 Thrusters - synchron

5 Front-Squats - synchron

7 Deadlifts - synchron

Das Startgewicht Betrug dabei 20kg. Nach 4 Minuten erhöht man das Gewicht auf 30kg und nach 8 Minuten erhöht man letztmalig auf 35kg.

Wir haben insgesamt 158 Wiederholungen geschafft. Da mein Partner in der letzten Woche noch krank war, ist das in Ordnung. Ich denke allerdings, das noch eine Runde (+15 Wiederholungen) möglich gewesen wären.

Am Mittwoch kommt dann das nächste Workout dran. 25.2 "Beachline Burn".

I didn't get many steps in today as I actually spent most of the day in the hammock in the garden. At temperatures of around 30°C, you shouldn't move around that much. So I let my skin sizzle in the sun while reading a Batman comic or graphic novel (part 1 of Death of the Family). I can highly recommend the graphic novel.

This morning I did the first qualifying workout for the Beach Showdown with a partner. To qualify for the Beach Showdown you have to do 3 workouts and do as well as possible. The best teams can then go to the final Beach Showdown on the beach in Zandvoort at the beginning of September and compete with the best teams in their category.

The first workout, called Weight Breakers, consisted of an AMRAP of 12 minutes. In these 12 minutes you have to do as many repetitions of:

3 thrusters - synchronized

5 front squats - synchronized

7 deadlifts - synchronized

The starting weight was 20kg. After 4 minutes you increase the weight to 30kg and after 8 minutes you increase it to 35kg for the last time.

We managed a total of 158 repetitions. As my partner was still ill last week, that's okay. However, I think that one more round (+15 repetitions) would have been possible.

The next workout will be on Wednesday. 25.2 "Beachline Burn".
