First Day of Eid – A Simple Active Day Full of Small Joys
Today was the first day of Eid, and the feeling in the morning was very different from normal days. Even before the sun properly rose, there was a special kind of excitement in the air. After many days of fasting in Ramadan, this morning felt light, calm, and full of gratitude.
I woke up early and stepped outside for a few minutes. The streets were quieter than usual, but you could still feel that something special was happening. Some people were already preparing to go for Eid prayer, children were wearing new clothes, and the atmosphere had that peaceful Eid feeling.
Later in the morning, I moved around the house and outside a bit, greeting neighbors and relatives. On Eid day, even small walks feel meaningful because you meet people smiling, shaking hands, and saying “Eid Mubarak.” These little interactions make the day more active and joyful.
Children in the neighborhood were especially excited today. Their happiness is always the best part of Eid. Running around in new clothes, showing their shoes to friends, and waiting for Eidi from elders. Watching them reminds me of my own childhood Eid days when the smallest things felt like the biggest celebrations.
During the afternoon, I spent time moving around the house, helping with small things and visiting nearby relatives. On Eid, you naturally stay active because people keep coming and going. Some guests arrive, some neighbors stop by, and sometimes you step outside just to enjoy the festive environment.
Food is also an important part of Eid. The kitchen was busy with traditional dishes and sweet smells spreading through the house. After a whole month of fasting, sitting together and sharing food with family feels very special.
Even though today was mostly a family day, I still stayed active with my movements throughout the day. Walking around, meeting people, and spending time outside kept my body moving and my mind fresh.
For me, Eid is not only about celebration. It is also about gratitude, connection, and simple happiness. After Ramadan, it feels like a reward — a day to appreciate family, friends, and the blessings we sometimes forget in daily life.
As the evening arrives, the streets slowly become calm again. But the good memories of the first Eid day stay in the heart.
I hope everyone had a peaceful and happy Eid.
Eid Mubarak to all! 🌙✨
