My Actifit Report Card: June 11 2025

Watched a three part documentary on American Hunt for Osama Binladen. Very good documentary, and I would highly recommend watching it.

Despite being rated as TV MA, it was totally OK to watch with our eleven year old daughter.

Weather is really nice in the Seattle area, which is unusual. Usually, they say that good weather in the Seattle area starts after the fourth of July.

Tomato plants finally started growing even though the night temperatures are still pretty low.

The news is full of stories about the housing market possibly slowing down. And lower prices are probably coming some time later this year.

The prices are still up, but the number of home listings is up. Despite people being locked in to the low rates in their homes. In the last two years, the rates have been elevated. The rates are between 6.5% and 7%.

People have been refinancing into 2.5 to 4% rates, so if you sell your mortgage, payment will be a lot higher.

That is keeping a lot of sellers out of the market. But even so, the inventory is increasing. It only takes a few people to sell at a lower price, and all of a sudden, the house prices will start going lower.

Nationally, there are five hundred thousand more sellers than buyers right now. Florida and Texas seem to be the weakest markets right now, but I see inventory piling up in Western Washington.

I think there is a good chance that even in Washington, the prices will be lower this time next year.

This seems like a good time to offload real estate and take advantage of elevated interest rates paid on CDs, money market and other low risk investments.

Only around three days left in Splinterlands season. I noticed that there is less competition in Brawls. Seems like most lower ranked guilds don't have enough players with modern cards to fill the frays.

SPS seems to be slowly drifting towards .9 cent. I wonder if it will drop under .9 cent again even as crypto market seems to be poised for a bull run.

My wife might be right, it might be better to accumulate altcoins that are newer and listed on major exchanges like Coinbase.

My current favorites are AERO, NEAR and ONDO. I am planning to start DCA into these positions to prepare for the altcoin market.

Hive is acting a bit better than SPS, but still not very strong. I am continuing to accumulate Hive with a long term goal that has a five year plus horizon with hope that one day Hive becomes a major mainstream blogging platform.

As mass adoption comes to crypto people will look for blogging that rewards bloggers with crypto. What are other major crypto blogging platforms? Steam seems to be doing worse than Hive. What else is there for bloggers to be rewarded in crypto?
