Salí temprano de casa para acompañar a uno de mis hermanos a una consulta odontológica por un dolor en la boca producto de una raíz de cordal.
En el autobús de camino íbamos parados en la puerta cuando de pronto se subió una mujer con un perro grande de raza Pitbull, el animal estaba sin bozal y aunque se veía tranquilo no estoy de acuerdo con la actuación de la dueña ni del chófer de autobús. Mi hermano es una persona nerviosa y aunque le gustan los perros inmediatamente en lo que subieron, no encontraba la forma de moverse así que yo le cedí mi espacio y me coloque entre el perro y mi hermano.
El animal durante el trayecto no ladro se veía tranquilo y acostumbrado a las personas y el autobús, pero creo que es una irresponsabilidad de la dueña cargar un perro tan grande en espacios públicos sin bozal, por más educado que esté, cualquier ruido u olor puede activar una reacción peligrosa, también es una irresponsabilidad del chófer acceder a que se montará con el autobús lleno de gente. Eso me molesto. Le pregunté a la mujer en qué parte se bajaría y como sería después de nosotros decidí salir por la puerta de atrás para así evitar exponer a mi hermano pasar por el lado del perro.
Luego fuimos a la odontóloga y le hicieron varias radiografías de la muela, pero como no se veía bien indicaron hacerle una panorámica y se pudo comprobar que la raíz tocaba un nervio importante por eso el dolor, así que decidieron que fuera operado por un cirujano maxilofacial.
Antes de regresar a casa pasé por una pescadería, quería comer atún y me resultó peculiar ver como tienen los pescados dentro del refrigerador, este pescado es el pargo rojo y están empacados al vacío, su precio es de 20 $ solo uno, 😱 por Dios eso me pareció una exageración, pero en mi país Venezuela todo es tan costoso.

I left home early to accompany one of my siblings to a dentist’s appointment for mouth pain caused by a wisdom tooth root.
On the bus, we were standing by the door when, suddenly, a woman got on with a large pit bull; the dog wasn’t wearing a muzzle, and although it seemed calm, I don’t agree with the actions of either the owner or the bus driver. My brother is a nervous person, and although he likes dogs, as soon as they got on, he couldn’t find a way to move, so I gave him my spot and stood between the dog and my brother.
The dog didn’t bark during the ride; it seemed calm and used to people and the bus, but I think it’s irresponsible of the owner to bring such a large dog into public spaces without a muzzle; no matter how well-trained it is, any noise or smell could trigger a dangerous reaction. It’s also irresponsible of the driver to let the dog on when the bus is full of people. That bothered me. I asked the woman at which stop she’d be getting off, and since she was getting off after us, I decided to exit through the back door to avoid my brother having to walk past the dog.
Then we went to the dentist, and they took several X-rays of the tooth, but since it didn’t look right, they ordered a panoramic X-ray, which showed that the root was touching a major nerve—hence the pain—so they decided to have a maxillofacial surgeon operate on it.
Before heading home, I stopped by a fish market; I wanted to eat tuna, and I found it interesting to see how they display the fish in the refrigerator. This fish is red snapper, and they’re vacuum-sealed; it costs $20 for just one. 😱 Goodness, that seemed like an exaggeration to me, but in my country, Venezuela, everything is so expensive.
