Good morning world! I'm back with another post and yesterday I was not able to complete my goal of 10,000 Actifit points and could only do 7000.
I couldn't reach my goal of 10,000 actifit points, not because I was busy, but because I was lazy.
I was lazy because I have a few reasons. One of the reasons why I was lazy is because it was raining.
Up until like 12 or 2 p.m. I think, it didn't rain much, but after 2 p.m. it started to rain cats and dogs.
Many people, in my city at least, don't know what it means when someone says it rained cats and dogs.
So it rained a lot and I couldn't do much. I had to stay put at the nursery. I couldn't go out.
I couldn't, you know, complete my steps. Couldn't do any exercises. Couldn't stretch my legs.
I just had to sit. I was wearing a jacket, and I stayed at the nursery until 6 p.m.
Then I decided to go back home because it was raining a lot. And when it stopped for a few minutes, I ran.
When I reached home, I was tired and I just wanted to have my dinner and go back to bed.
And I did just that. I went to the loo, cleaned myself, had some dinner, and then after an hour of watching a TV show called The Residence, I went back to sleep.
I only woke up at 1.30 p.m., 1.30 a.m., and I stayed up for an hour or two, watched some more of the TV series, and then went back to sleep.
The TV show is good. It's on Netflix and I liked it at first.
But then it started to bore me out because there are too many characters, there are too many shots where they have cut and you just hear multiple point of views of the same incident that had happened.
It's a whodunit mystery and by the episode 5, it kind of started to bore me off because they are just dragging and dragging, dragging the show just to keep it going.
I do enjoy HODINIT kind of TV series, but after watching almost every such show on Netflix, I think I have reached the saturation period where nothing will seem good to me.
I grew up on Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and Ibn Safi.
Ibn Safi is an Urdu author who used to write detective novels.
I have read many others, and eventually when I got tired of reading, I started to watch TV shows.
And they kind of bore me out now because everyone wants to act like they are Sherlock Holmes.
It's 2025. Please stop imitating a character that was created 100 years ago.
Was it 100 years ago? I don't know. I'll have to check.
So, it was a different era. And this is a different era.
Back then there was no internet. Back then there was not much information on different cultures, different people.
There wasn't much information about psychology, psychiatry, about how people behaved, how people acted and they talked.
Sherlock Holmes was kind of a big deal because Arthur Conan Doyle had the ability to think about these things and then write about it.
In 2025, we have the internet, we have Facebook, we have WhatsApp, we have AI.
And now you can get information about anyone within seconds.
You tell me your name and I'll find them on Facebook or Instagram or on Google.
It will take less than 3 minutes to get basic information about any person.
So, when these TV series try to mimic Sherlock Holmes, they fail miserably because we live in information overload.
I just checked on Google and I got to know that Arthur Conan Doyle wrote Sherlock Holmes in 1927 and it's been 97 years since Sherlock Holmes first hit the books.
And since the last 97 years people have been using the character traits of Sherlock Holmes.
In 3 years, it will be 100 years. Wow! Such a magnificent achievement for Arthur Conan Doyle.
I love that author. I love that writer because the kind of character that he has created has withstood 100 years.
It's still in demand. People still buy his books. People still copy the character. People still talk about it.
And it kind of became a legend.
Anyway, that's all from my side for today.
I'll come back tomorrow, write more, and hopefully I will share more stories about what happened today.
I just got a call from someone, and they want to collaborate with me, and hopefully we will be able to collaborate and do some good for the city.
Anyway, I'll take leave.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Khuda hafiz.
