Hello guys, I'm back with yet another Actifit post.
Yesterday, I had to travel to a town where I had done some landscaping work.
The work was done really well, and I was hoping that the grass would have grown well by now, but unfortunately, the grass didn't grow as expected.
In some places, the grass was drying up, and I know the reasons why this happened.
There are several reasons why the grass was drying up.
One of the reasons that I think the grass is drying up is because it's monsoon season and it is supposed to rain every day.
It is actually raining almost every day but there are days where it didn't rain and the owners of the house might have assumed that the grass didn't need watering because it had rained.
For human surfaces the rain was like a lot but for a lawn the rain wasn't enough.
Sometimes it would rain for like just two minutes and it wouldn't even scratch the top surface.
Some days it would rain so much that there would be water logging in the lawn area.
So this is one of the major reasons.
The second reason is improper soil preparation.
At some places the laborers did make a mistake and they didn't press the lawn hard enough for the roots to penetrate the soil beneath.
So this might have been the second reason.
And the third reason is just luck.
Some days things happen good, some days things don't happen good.
That's what I believe and it's just, you know, nature and nature decided not to grow.
So the client called me and they asked me why the grass is drying up and I explained to them.
And I also gave them suggestions as to what to do next.
And I'm planning to take a few laborers in the next two to three days and we are going to get some work done.
We'll add some compost, we'll press the lawn down, you know, and then we'll add more water.
Maybe I'll add some other chemicals as well so that the lawn grows faster and quicker so that the customer is satisfied.
At the end, client satisfaction is what matters the most in a business and that's what I'm trying to do.
I will do my best to get everything work well and hopefully things will work out as planned.
My next plan of action is to keep an eye on the lawn and keep monitoring the progress.
I will personally visit every 15 to 20 days so that I will get to know if there is some problem with the lawn.
I remember in March this year, we finished a landscaping project where we planted a few plants and a few hundred square feet of lawn and within a week the client was confused and was complaining that the lawn was drying up.
I assured them that everything will be fine once we add water and compost and press it down and look for any damages.
After about three weeks, we went there, we did the maintenance and now two months later the lawn is thriving and it needs its first cut.
I'll do that soon.
I'll take a laborer and we'll get the lawn mowing machine and we will cut some grass.
When it comes to lawn, or plants, or trees, and shrubs, and herbs, and everything, that is natural and is a growing being, what one should remember is that it's a natural being.
It's a living being and everything takes time.
You can't grow a foot of hair within a month.
It might take a year for some, two years for some, ten years for some, but eventually they will grow.
And you can't grow any hair if the person has some issues with their hair, like some people might have alopecia or some other kind of baldness.
You can't grow hair.
So that's how lawn is, that's how nature is.
You can't force everything.
2-3 months later the client from March is now happy and they had called me earlier asking me if I can add more grass on their garden because they were happy with the results and I'm going to do that.
I'm going to add more lawn to their garden and make it more greener, healthier and the client is happier.
Anyways, that's all for today.
I'll come back tomorrow, write more about my experiences with gardening, with business, with people, and everything else that comes my way.
Yesterday I had traveled a lot, so today I decided to rest a little bit.
I'm at the nursery right now and the weather is amazing.
It's rainy season and rainy season in India is heavenly.
If you ever come to India, come in rainy season because you can see the plants and trees, animals and birds, insects, and the dark grey clouds.
That's all for today.
I'll see you tomorrow.
Goodbye.
Good night.
Have a wonderful day.
