Ah, what a day, what a day. I had a wonderful day at the nursery. I did a lot of work. My workers were there and we all did some good cleaning and shifting and everything. It was an amazing day. I accomplished some of my goals. I still have a lot of work at the nursery that I need to complete, and soon I will be doing that as well.
I had my breakfast early today, and right away I went to the nursery. My workers were waiting for me, and I opened the gates, went inside, and it was such an amazing sight. Hundreds and thousands of plants, all soaked wet and dancing under the morning sunshine. I love that scene, and I love every day that I spend at the nursery. My goals today were to clean the nursery, remove all the dead plants, prune them or trim them, and then move all the plants to a different place so that I can bring new stock.
Last night before I went home, I watered the plants so that the next day when we start work, I did not want the place to be messy, soggy, or muddy. That usually affects the performance and progress of the work. When the plants are dry, they tend to get really dry, but they are easy to move and easy to remove. When the plants are wet and it is muddy, trying to pick up a plant by the stem and using force usually ends up dislocating them from their pots or plastic bags. This might eventually take more time to solve and delay completing all the work.
We have around four thousand plants at the nursery, I think, and I usually keep the nursery well stocked so that whenever a customer comes and asks me about a certain plant, I should have it. Like today, a customer came and asked if I had a Veld grape plant. A lot of people here have started using it for joint pain and arthritis. I have spoken to a few doctors, Ayurvedic and homeopathic, about this plant and they say it is effective. Maybe it has some side effects, but generally it works well and helps people regain strength in their joints. It helps with joint pain too. I had this plant in stock, and it has been several months since anyone bought it. Usually, people do not keep such plants that have low demand, but I do because I love all plants and I want to help that one customer who really needs a specific plant. So yes, I do that.
In a few days, I will be traveling to different cities so that I can stock up and bring more plants. We have run out of several key plants that usually sell during this rainy season. We are out of rose plants, we are out of areca palms and a few others. I will be bringing them too. Maybe within a week, I will travel and get as many plants as possible.
In another news, today I am going to do something that I have not done in a long time. I am going to buy some HSBI units. Some people call them units, some call them shares. I call them units. HSBI stands for Hive Stake Based Income, and I love that platform. I love the kind of work they do. So what I am going to do is, I have a few hundred, I think less than two hundred Hive with me, and I am going to buy some HSBI units so that I can continue my work without worrying about curation, voting, and all those things. Wish me luck, and I think this will be the end of today's update post. I will come back tomorrow. Until then, take care, see you, Shabba Khair, adios, and good night.
