Every food item has a ratio of different beneficial nutrients. what a specific food has most is usually put in category to make it easier to follow, called macros: proteins, fats, carbohydrates. Personally i'd also put fiber on the list. So broccoli is not a good source of protein as one person would need to eat a ton of broccoli per day to fullfill daily need of protein. - it contains 3,3g/100g of broccoli. It's mostly water, and 2g of carbs. For example raw lentils contain 21g/100g of protein, which is much higher!, but also 44g/100g of carbs and 1,5g/100g of fat.
*wrote raw, because cooked have much lower values due to waterweight
**but even cooked have 10g/100g of protein and 15g/100g carbs - so it's more comparable to broccoli.
