A difficult time for fish :My Actifit Report Card: June 22 2026
During an afternoon walk in Goffs Park today I noticed that the fish were very close to the surface and very sluggish. It was hot today, close to 30 °C and I think this is the reason for this as oxygen levels drop very low in the water.
The situation is only going to get worse as the heatwave continues through this week.
Another interesting thing caught my eye. It was one of those double take moments that happen. A fallen tree in the woods looked like an elephant with its trunk curled in a coil shape. An incredible sight when it hits you like that! 😮

It's hard on the poor fish when it's hot and there's that much algae in the water taking all the oxygen! Hopefully, you will get some relief soon from the heat!

Yes, I was out in the heat a lot yesterday and I feel drained this morning. I think it's a good idea to keep out of the sun today.

The humidity usually gets much worse after a rain storm up here as well!🙄
This heat is alot for many people and creatures to take we have alot of old people in our area and we are seeing a lot of ambulances this time of the year.
