š When I left home for my cycle ride it was dry but that didn't last very long! Rain showers soon developed and in the end I just decided to give up trying to stay clean and dry.

Faced with floods like this one, who cares ? Actually, it was not too deep and my shoes stayed dry this time. š¤£

I soldier'd on and hit the mud hard! š«
I spotted a pig in a tree. I'm still not quite sure what it was, but there was also a bird box near it.

The sun began to break through the cloud at one point, about the midpoint of my ride, at the top of a small hill. I very often turn around at this point in winter as the track gets too wet and dirty, passing a farm where the there is always a very slushy area. Best not to go there until drier conditions.

Steps or tunnel? I think tunnel today. š¤
Onward along an old railway route called Worth Way. Now used as a nice footpath/bridalway between my hometown and East Grinstead, about eight miles of off-road delight.

Do you like my hat?
The gorse is blooming now, looking good with some early flowers. I couldn't resist a photo opportunity.

These steps are easy to ride down when dry but I dont dare try when wet! Not these days. I've had too many mishaps in rhe past and injuries to tell the tale as well.

Tilgate Park was quiet today, obviously the rain was keeping them away and no activities were running either. Even the snack bar was closed. I was hoping to get a coffee there. No worries, I was looking forward to the shower when I got home so I headed back.

I didn't expect to see a pig in a tree today. Thanks!
