My Actifit Report Card: October 19 2026

We often observe that no matter how many good deeds one performs, people tend to focus solely on a single mistake, forgetting all the prior goodness. In such situations, one can either try to prove one’s good intentions to the other person, or simply accept that people will always form their own opinions—and choose to move on with life.

There are people in our lives who genuinely care about us; if they happen to misunderstand us, a simple, honest conversation can usually clear things up. It is perfectly fine to explain oneself to such individuals. However, there are others who have already made up their minds about us—no amount of explanation will change their perspective.

For such people, even offering a response is futile. In these instances, I believe it is best to remain silent; our silence serves as the answer. Choosing silence does not imply weakness or an admission of guilt; rather, it signifies that we understand the nature of their role in our lives and choose not to waste our energy.

We do not need to go out of our way to prove who we are. As long as we know, deep down, that we have acted with good intentions, that is enough—we do not require validation from others. That said, silence should not be used as an excuse to evade accountability; if we have truly hurt someone, we must take full responsibility for our actions.

True growth doesn’t mean believing that we will always do the right thing; rather, it means having the capacity to acknowledge our mistakes, take responsibility for them, and set things right. It’s important to remember that we cannot control the opinions others form about us—we should simply focus on doing good.

Have you ever felt that there was no need to explain yourself to others? If so, do share your thoughts in the comments.

As for today, the atmosphere felt much like the day before a festival. I spent the entire day cleaning and tidying up the house. Later in the evening, I went for a walk and ended up quite exhausted. After dinner, I drifted off to sleep.
