Since childhood, our elders have raised us with a single message: if we study hard, we will succeed in life. From the moment we start school until our education ends, we face one set of struggles, and once it’s over, we face another.
The anxiety and effort we experience during this journey are immense. After finishing our studies, we often wonder where exactly this knowledge will be useful.
We look for practical applications for concepts like trigonometry, matrices, and permutations and combinations, yet we often fail to see them. We tend to assume that the purpose of learning these things is simply to choose a field, master it, earn a PhD, and eventually land a job.
However, every subject we study has its own unique significance. I once saw a video demonstrating the practical use of trigonometry; a person explained how to cut an iron bar with great ease using trigonometric principles.
That made me realize that every single subject and topic we study serves a purpose—even if we aren't fully aware of it at the time. While there are significant differences between the education systems of the past and the present, the underlying objective remains the same: to ensure we achieve good marks in those subjects.
If someone excels in their studies, it is not necessarily due to their parents or the school they attend; some children grasp concepts very easily, while others understand them if explained patiently.
Then there are those who fail to comprehend the material no matter how many different ways it is explained, simply because it does not align with their unique aptitudes. After all, it is unfair to subject every living being to the same test and judge them solely by the marks they achieve.
My point is that education is crucial in today's world; once you complete your formal education, you can pursue whatever path suits your intellect and aspirations, but you must never neglect education itself. Education is the one asset that cannot be stolen; in fact, it grows as you share it with others.
As for my day, it concluded with a morning walk, breakfast, work at the office, dinner, and a peaceful night's sleep.
