My Actifit Report Card: September 27 2026

As a person ages, their tastes and perspectives evolve. Children desire colorful toys; the young crave adventure and excitement; while in later years, one seeks simplicity and peace of mind. One's mindset and lifestyle shift in tandem with age.

Childhood is free of responsibilities, whereas adulthood brings a gradual realization of them. Of course, this progression doesn't occur at the exact same age for everyone; I am speaking generally about the average person. As our needs change with age, our interest in earlier pursuits wanes.

Throughout this journey, we navigate our relationships—with friends, parents, spouses, and children—sharing experiences based on mutual interests. Upon reaching old age, our mindset naturally gravitates toward a simpler way of living.

These simple pleasures—waking up without anxiety, sharing meals with family, or enjoying a deep, undisturbed sleep—do not require significant financial expense. Appreciating nature with a calm, uncluttered mind is also part of this simple lifestyle.

We are familiar with these things all along, yet we often overlook them; it is only through the wisdom gained with age that we truly appreciate their value. Ultimately, there is no greater blessing in life than having loved ones by our side who truly understand us.

People often fail to realize the value of something while they have it, only appreciating it after it is lost; that is why we should not take what we have for granted. Even the small things in our lives are often attained by others only through great effort. Therefore, we should learn to find happiness in what we already possess.

Today, I visited my hometown to meet my friends. We spent a long time talking and shared our joys and sorrows with one another. As it was getting late, I caught a bus back home. After dinner, I went for a short walk, and then, feeling quite exhausted, I went to sleep.
