My Actifit Report Card: August 23 2026

This is something many of us are familiar with. On holidays, we often intend to wake up late, whereas on regular days we plan to rise early; yet, for some reason, the opposite happens—we wake up early on holidays and oversleep on workdays.

In my view, this stems from excitement. We go to bed thinking about the upcoming holiday, which creates a sense of excitement. Conversely, on regular days, the thought of going to the office brings a sense of fatigue, leading us to sleep in and wake up late.

This pattern holds true whether it involves work, school, or any other obligation. I am not sure if there is a scientific explanation for this, but this has been my personal experience.

As for today, I did wake up early—one might assume it was due to the excitement mentioned earlier, but the actual reason was that I had some work to attend to at the office.

On my way back, I picked up necessary household supplies so I wouldn't have to go out again. I spent the rest of the day with my children. In the evening, after dinner, I went for a walk, and finally, we bathed and went to bed.
