YOLO. Eyyyyy! 🤙🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️

I am literally drained. Sitting here at the airport lounge at 10.42 PM, running around since morning, I feel like floating.

So we're waiting to board our plane, which is delayed by almost four hours. We left Abu Dhabi early at around 2pm for a 10pm flight from the Dubai International Airport. That's a lot of time to spare.

Since I cannot bring my car, and decided against hiring a car lift, the kids and I traveled by bus and the Metro from AUH to DXB.

We don't have much with us- just one 20kg luggage and our carry-ons.

The transfer from the bus station to Dubai Metro station is straightforward, and there's access from the Metro to airport departures.

We reached the airport at 5.00pm and the check-in counters opened at 6.30pm. Whew.

Worse, the 10PM flight is delayed to 1.50AM. Awesome. 🧟‍♀️

Well at least we're already at the airport!
Unlike last year, we reached the gate when passengers were already boarding! Lol

fwiw the airlines gave us free McDonald's meals to compensate for the delay.

Since this is my firsr actual meal for the day at 8.00PM, I really appreciate it.

Even the kids are already famished. They devoured their meals like fish frenzy.

I am so looking forward to board.

The ground crew said it is not a full flight, so hopefully we have room to get comfy in our 8hrs++ flight.
