My Actifit Report Card: September 19 2026

At long last Tottenham Hotspurs finally scored goals. However the two goals scored by De Zerbi's team was not enough to o save them on the day as they were hammered by Aston Villa (2-3) at home thus ensuring that their wretched start to the Premier League season continued.

Meanwhile Aston Villa who stood firm and held off a late fightback mounted by Spurs recorded their first league win of the campaign. Despite loosing key members of the team who won the Europa League last season Villa's new recruits appear to be galvanizing and this should be a cheering news to head coach Unai Emery.

One of such person is their Japanese international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki who pulled off stunning saves to deny Spurs at some point in the game and also Manzambi who opened his Villa account with one of the goals scored on the day.

Brighton and Hove Albion is now flying high I must say. The Seagulls lastest showing against league leaders and defending champions Arsenal is a good testament to this fact. This is against just coming after the Seagulls humbled and booted out Manchester United few days ago from the carabao cup.

The Gunners suffered their first defeat of the season as they were stunned by Brighton and Hove Albion who put three unreplied goals past the champions at Amex Stadium. This was also the same scoreline when they played against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium back in 2023.

Hull City's flying start to the Premier League season was halted by Newcastle United who held off a late push by Hull to win (2-1) at St. James' park.

Finally, Coventry City earned their first Premier League points of the season with a hard-fought victory over Nottingham Forest away at The City Ground.
