My Actifit Report Card: July 30 2026

Eddie Howe is set to depart from St James’ Park - Newcastle United just 25 days to the beginning of the new season. This shock news came shortly after the Magpies lost (4-1) to Bristol City in their preseason preparations.

It is on record that Howe guided Newcastle to their first domestic trophy in 70 years when they won the Carabao Cup in 2025 at the expense of Liverpool.

German coach Matthias Jaissle is taunted as the leading candidate to replace Howe. Jaissle, 38, is the current coach of Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League.

We are still receiving enough rainfall for days now. Hardly see rays of sun these days. Clothes now dry indoors.
