My Actifit Report Card: June 24 2026

Qatar's fairytale in the FIFA World Cup has finally come to an end. Playing against Bosnia-Herzegovina, Qatar knows that it is going to be a bit difficult to surmount. They gave it all but the result went the other way.

Bosnia-Hezegovina therefore improved their chances of reaching the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first ever time by defeating Qatar (3-1) in their final Group B fixture. Like I said earlier, Qatar has been eliminated from the competition while Bosnia could still progress as one of the best eight third-placed teams in the tournament.

Switzerland booked their place in the last 32 of the World Cup after defeating co-hosts Canada (2-1) to finish top of Group B.

That victory has put Switzerland as one of the only third nations - the others being Argentina and France - to reach the knockout stages in each of the last four World Cups.

Despite the defeat, however, co-hosts Canada booked a place in the knockout stages for the first time in their history after finishing second in Group B. This followed their draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina and the thrashing of Qatar in their previous two matches.
