Rainy day with family

Holidays often mean waking up a little late, enjoying a slower morning, and spending some quality "me time." Yesterday was no different. Since our office was officially closed, I stayed in bed a bit longer and finally woke up around 10 AM. I had made a casual plan in my mind — after all, it was August 5th, the day of the Mass Uprising in Bangladesh. I thought I’d visit places like TSC, Manik Mia Avenue, or maybe just stroll around the city center — a bit of history, a bit of walking, and a much-needed break from the routine.

But nature had other plans. By afternoon, the sky turned darker and heavier with clouds, and before long, the rain started pouring down. What began as a drizzle quickly became a relentless downpour. I hoped it would stop soon, but the rain continued to fall in soft, steady drops, making the roads muddy and nearly impassable. All my outdoor plans had to be canceled.

The rhythmic tapping of rain on the windows, the gloomy skies, and the canceled plans left me a little melancholic. But as evening approached, I felt an urge to get out — at least somewhere close by. So I decided to head out with my family to a nearby restaurant, just to break the monotony.

As soon as we walked in, a few items on the menu instantly caught my eye — Chicken Chaap, Haleem, and freshly baked Naan bread. Honestly, what more could you want on a rainy evening like this?
