šHi everyoneā£ļø The Manggahan Festival has officially ended, but there are still a few stalls and stands set up at the site.
*This is the Guimaras Provincial Capitol.

Right in front of the Provincial Capitol building is where the heart of the festival takes place. This area hosts all sorts of exciting events, including the sports competitions, the Agri-trade fair, the mango products display, and, of course, the much-anticipated mango "eat-all-you-can" event. Itās always a fun, lively atmosphere as everyone comes together to celebrate the best of the local culture.
Youād be surprised at the variety of products that can be made from mangoes.
Thereās everything from classic mango snacks like otap, barquillos, tart, piyaya, biscocho, and brownies to mango candies, pastillas, and even mango ketchup.
*Guyabano wine, dragon fruit wine, Bignay/Bugnay wine (wild berry) and grape wine
And for something a little more unique, thereās mango wine!
Alongside these delicious treats, youāll also find mango-inspired crafts such as pillows, keychains, purses, bags, earrings, badges, and even hand fans. Itās amazing how many creative things people can make using just one fruit. It really shows how versatile and beloved mangoes are in our local culture.
Behind the Provincial Capitol building, you'll find rows of food stalls. Some of them are still around, even though the festival has wrapped up. Naturally, my niece couldnāt let the day end without having something to eat, so we treated ourselves to fried ice cream.
Too bad the mango flavor was already sold outāitās always a festival favorite! But we still had a great time indulging in some sweet treats and enjoying the lively atmosphere of the place.
Behind the food stalls, thereās the Ferris wheel, which brings back a lot of memories for me. I remembered how I used to ride it when I was younger, feeling so excited and carefree, gazing at the entire festival site below.
Now, itās my niece's turn to enjoy the ride, and itās a joy to see the same excitement on her face that I once had. Itās funny how some things stay the same, while others change. Watching her enjoy the ride made me feel a little nostalgic about the days when I, too, would get in line to go up and see everything from above.
As the festival comes to a close, Iām reminded of how much these events bring people together. Itās not just about celebrating mangoes or the local products; itās about the sense of community, the shared memories, and the joy we experience with family and friends. Iāve realized that festivals like these are much more than just a celebration of local culture.. theyāre a time to reconnect with the people around us, to create memories that last a lifetime, and to appreciate the simple pleasures of life.
Looking back, I canāt help but think about how the festival also serves as a reminder of how far weāve come, both as individuals and as a community. Itās about the growth, the changes, and the traditions we hold dear. I feel grateful for the time spent with family, the laughter, the new experiences, and the way these little moments create a big impact.
Until next year, Manggahanš Itās these little joys that make life truly special.
That's all for now.. @vvodjiu here, wishing everyone a wonderful day!!
