Making the world a better place starts from individuals. Most times I hear people talk about the bad manic situation of the government officials. But then the question is; Are they the only bad people in the world? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to justify their actions but then what happens when you are put in that position. Are you truly sure you won't act like them? What happens when you're in power and in position? Will you be humble enough? Making the world a better place starts from you and your relationship with your neighbors and family. Do you see your neighbors in pain and just walk away or do you help them?
Few months ago, my neighbor came to my place asking for a certain amount of money claiming it was urgent and he was going to refund me. I looked at him. My previous experience with him made me not willing to give but then I remembered that saying "nobody knows tomorrow" the way he begged wasn't what prompted me to give him the money he was in need of. I knew the kind of person he was but then I gave him the money. Few days passed, he didn't return the money, I confronted him for my money instead he kept giving excuses. I felt bad, I was just trying to help but it turned out bad. My money was gone. These are the situations that make people not willing to help even though you're at the point of death, but then I could do that with more carefulness. Not everyone is willing to reciprocate your kindness, some take it for granted while some feel entitled to it.
Though there are so many bad people out there which are more than good people but then it won't make me compromise my values. I have experienced both good and bad but upholding empathy, kindness and discipline in my daily activities keeps me going everyday.
It doesn't matter how little the help could. You can advise someone out of his problems or you can motivate someone in solving his/ her problems.
The world will be a scorching place when we neglect others and focus on ourselves. It's extremely hard to be selfless. I admire people with such qualities. Nomatter the bad experiences you are still steadfast in helping humanity. Most people turn a blind eye though I won't blame them.
Making the world a better place starts from every individual, not just the governor, not just president. But you and me. Let's make this place a living place, it doesn't matter the race, it doesn't matter the skin color. But accepting one another the way they are wont make any difference who you are.

Don’t tell me you have no plans of taking your money back.
The only option is to meet the mother.
Definitely making the world a better place starts with us. We can start around us. Helping people around, advising people how they can solve their problem, give the little you have to someone definitely the world will be a better place for us.
I agree with you too
Everyone need to also try to change their bad character... Like your neighbor.
Making conscious effort to change will make the world better
I don't think change is in this dictionary, he has just been like that.
You are actually right, making the world a better place start with us by loving ourself and loving people around us. By helping others and many more
The world can actually be a better place.
