Bybit and Binance launched Hive/USDT Futures, insane volume yesterday would put Hive volume-wise in the top 20, Hive on trending on coinmarketcap. Here is the possible reason for the pump.

Gestern wieder überraschend ein Hive Pump auf fast 50 Cent mit einem Volumen bei fast einer Milliarde Dollar. Unglaublich für einen Coin mit einer Marketcap von nur 200 Millionen.

Mögliche Ursache: Zu Weihnachten hat Bybit Hive/USDT gelistet und auch Futures auf Hive ermöglicht. Binance hat zeitgleich auch Hive Futures gelauncht.

Aber das ganz große Volumen kommt von Upbit, einer koreanischen Börse, die auch schon zu Steem-Zeiten sehr aktiv war. Koreaner sind anscheinend sehr krypto-affin und haben jetzt vielleicht auch Hive Futures entdeckt.

Mit Futures ist es möglich auf zukünftige Preisentwicklungen mit einem enormen Leverage (bis zu 75x bei Binance) zu wetten.

Damit sind enorme Gewinne aber auch große Verluste möglich.

Durch das große Volumen wird Hive noch mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommen und vielleicht gelingt es uns jetzt endlich, Hive auf mehr Exchanges zu listen.

@hatoto hat heute ein Business-Meeting mit Bitpanda wegen einem möglichen Hive-Listing. Halte ihm die Daumen, dass das klappt.

Yesterday, another surprising hive pump to almost 50 cents with a volume of almost one billion dollars. Incredible for a coin with a market cap of just 200 million.

Possible cause: At Christmas, Bybit listed Hive/USDT and also enabled futures on Hive. Binance also launched Hive Futures at the same time.

But the really big volume comes from Upbit, a Korean exchange that was already very active during the Steem era. Koreans are apparently crypto enthusiasts and have now perhaps discovered Hive Futures as well.

With futures, it is possible to bet on future price developments with enormous leverage (up to 75x on bitbuy and Binance).

This means that enormous profits but also large losses are possible.

Due to the large volume, Hive will receive even more attention and perhaps we will finally succeed in listing Hive on more exchanges.

@hatoto has a business meeting with Bitpanda today about a possible Hive listing. Keep your fingers crossed that it works out.

Thanks for sharing this great news. I think HIVE will inevitably see a price increase through 2025. I also think HIVE will be back to a dollar value between 2025 and 2026.

For me, it's kind of strange no major announcment made about it by Hive whales. When, where, who did it and what else will come.

Anyway, I've found it out by myself on Bitget. See it appearing on several other exchanges, too. Gate listed it, too. (couple of smaller no kyc ones have it now, too)

Do you know, how a future listing happens in practice? I see it's centralized, and some exchanges add, some doesn't.

Really should be a major news. Actually the biggest in the 2 years since I am around, but instead of that, nothing.

Checked the few gaming communities, nobody knows about it there... very strange!

Perhaps. They sit on lots of Hive, so guess it's their no1 interest.
