Today is the day to expand my card collection in Splinterlands by opening packs in the game, so join me on this brief journey of discovery.
As I mentioned in other posts, one of my main goals in Splinterlands is to build a collection of powerful cards to use in my ranked battles.
My focus is on these cards:
Chaos Legion Edition cards.
Foundation Cards.
Reward Cards.
Gladiator Cards.
I chose these options because, in my opinion, they are the best to start a card collection in Splinterlands; these cards are useful and inexpensive.
To get Foundation Cards, I have the option of buying them on the market or opening Foundation packs. I like to test my luck sometimes, so today I'm going to open packs.

To buy packs in Splinterlands, you need to go to the SHOP option and then to Card Packs.
In the Card Packs option, you will find all the pack options to buy in Splinterlands.

The lowest price for Foundation Packs is 73.8 DEC, and today I decided to buy 5 packs to open, spending 375 DEC.
Foundation Cards aren't very powerful in Splinterlands, but they're a good option for playing in lower leagues, and you won't need to spend much to evolve the cards to the maximum level.
When opening packs in Splinterlands, don't forget to use Alchemy Potions and Legendary Potions.
Alchemy Potions increase the chances of getting Gold Foil cards in packs.
Legendary Potions increase the chances of getting Legendary cards in packs.
Each card in the pack consumes 1 Alchemy Potion and 1 Legendary Potion.
Each pack in Splinterlands has 5 cards, so I'll need 25 Alchemy Potions and 25 Legendary Potions.

To open packs in Splinterlands, you need to go to the OPEN option.

With only 5 packs, I was lucky enough to get the legendary card Giam Root. That card alone is enough to pay for all the packs I bought, so I can consider myself lucky opening packs.
I also got 1 Gold Foil card, but I don't intend to evolve them now, so I'm going to sell it to buy other cards.

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.
For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".
Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.
