Buying and Opening Chaos Legion Packs

My goal of building a strong card collection in Splinterlands continues, and I have 4 card sets as my main choices for my collection:

  • Chaos Legion Cards.

  • Foundation Cards.

  • Reward Cards.

  • Gladiator Cards.

In my opinion, the best way to build a card collection in Splinterlands is to buy cards directly from the market because you can choose the cards, but there's also the option of getting cards in Packs.

Sometimes I like to test my luck by buying and opening packs in Splinterlands. Today my focus is on Chaos Legion Cards, and I decided to buy 2 Chaos Legion packs to open.

To buy packs there are 2 options:

  • Buying packs in Splinterlands.

  • Buying packs in the Hive Engine.

I always like to look at both options to see which is cheaper.

Splinterlands

In Splinterlands, under the Card Packs option, you can currently find the Chaos Legion pack for 993 DEC, which is equivalent to $0.50.

There is also the option to buy the packs with Credits.

Hive Engine

On the Hive Engine, the price of the Chaos Legion pack is 8.18 Swap.Hive, which is equivalent to $0.48.

After seeing both options, the Hive Engine is currently the best, so I decided to buy the packs there.

In total, I spent 16.37 Swap.Hive buying the two packs on the Hive Engine.

Remember that the Hive Engine is currently the best option, but always keep an eye on Splinterlands to see if the price there isn't lower.

After buying the packs on the Hive Engine, you need to go to the OPEN option in Splinterlands to transfer them to Splinterlands and be able to open the packs. There are 2 potions in Splinterlands that are useful for opening packs: Alchemy Potions and Legendary Potions.

  • Alchemy Potions increase the chances of getting Gold Foil cards.

  • Legendary Potions increase the chances of getting Legendary cards.

Each card in the pack consumes 1 Alchemy Potion and 1 Legendary Potion, so opening 2 packs will use 10 Alchemy Potions and 10 Legendary Potions.

Now let's see the cards I got opening the Chaos Legion packs.

Unfortunately, I wasn't lucky opening the packs, but I did get the Summoner Obsidian, and I use it very frequently in my battles.

Arcade Colony

Now I'll talk about the Arcade Colony platform. On it, you'll find the games: Splinterlands, Moon Karts, StakeHouse Den, and Genesis League Goals.

For those unfamiliar with Arcade Colony, it's owned by Invennium Corp. Arcade Colony is a platform for arcades and video games with a functional economy based on a governance token, "COLONY", and a product-backed stablecoin called "SCRIPT".

Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.

Find more information about Arcade Colony in my post: Discover the Arcade Colony Platform.
