Charity begins at home

Charity is something that everyone should learn. As human beings are social creatures, I believe we should help one another whenever possible. There are many avenues available to do charity. It can be done in the form of monetary service or in the form of physical service. Many places require physical support. Today, there are many people who can contribute money, but providing physical help is something that is challenging for many.

Charity should start from home, and how we show compassion to others is something that has to come from not only ourselves but also to our kids. When more exposure is created at home, it becomes easier to do charity works.

Teach our kids about charity

Usually, we teach a lot of things to the kids. Along with so many things that we teach our kids, it is also important to teach them about doing charity works. Sometimes it can be hard to take this with the kids because they are young and energetic, and they might find it hard to understand it. But later if we keep giving them the exposure continuously they are feel it and they also become a part of it. This is why it is good to teach our kids about charity.

An interesting thing that we can do is to let them understand the importance of doing charity work. We can make the kids save some money and make them use the money for some charity works. This practical exposure gives them the knowledge on money as well as directions to do good deeds.

Give the best to others and keep the worst for yourself

There is usually a practice to keep the good for ourselves and give the discarded or second quality items to others. Usually this happens when we have an excess of things to be shared. But it is always good to give the best to others and keep the worst for ourselves. This does not mean that we have to always take the worst, but this makes us understand the importance of giving up things, and this mentality increases our ability to be selfless.

There are many things that our parents and grandparents would have taught us at home. It is always good to keep track of those things and share them with our kids, and make them learn everything. This way, knowledge is transferred from generation to generation.

My father has always taught me about charity works and I know how important it is
We need to teach our kids about them and by the time they grow up, they will get used to it

Growing up my dad taught me and my siblings charity, he would always give us money to give to beggars by the road side on our way to school.

He taught us the importance of giving and not just any type of giving but giving what's of value to us.

And I am instilling that too in my kids.

The title charity begins at home is really correct. If you are being teach at home to give to your siblings parents or relatives then you are ready to help others wholeheartedly. My father always tell me whatever I have that is abundant I may share it. I was doing charity in many things, giving foods, giving clothings, giving services and money of course. I can say that it's not that charity like because I'm going to help like if I purchased a food I'll add additional payment and I think it's charity the same as I travel and give additional payment to the drivers. Whenever there are special occasions at home I'll always bring my neighbors something. I knew it is just little but it's charity. It's an act if giving willingly. It's so good in the heart ❤

It's just like when we take money from ourselves and start helping people, then this work will gradually increase and one day it will spread all over the world and all of us should do this.
