I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #498 - Orca Strategies - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Thursday, December 7, 2023

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

With my leap to dolphin 🐬 level just over a week ago, from my mega powerup on the December 1st #HPUD, my thoughts have been percolating on a way and a means to reach my next short-term goal, orca level. As of today (it rises daily) just about 57,218 HP is required to reach orca level. Presently I have almost 5,825 HP, so I'd need to gain just over 51,393 HP to hit my target. Needless to say, to accomplish this substantial goal, I'm going to need an effective strategy.

The most viable idea that I have at the moment is to continue growing my HBD in Savings until it exceeds a certain amount, so that I would be able to take half to convert to HIVE and the other half would be left in Savings, to continue its compounding magic. This morning I was running some numbers to see at what point this would be feasible, and the number that I got was 120,000. At 120,000 HBD in Savings, with the present 20% APR (I've been running calculation if the APR is lowered, too), I'd receive 2,000 HBD in interest. If I withdrew 1,000 HBD and converted it to HIVE each month to power up, I'd still have 1,000 HBD that would continue the compounding process, thereby reaching a sweet spot of rapid growth for both my HP and my HBD in Savings.

At the present conversion rate of 2.6178 HIVE per HBD, with 1,000 HBD I'd end up with almost 2,618 HIVE to power up. Yep, I'd reach orca level pretty quickly that way. Now, the most significant focus is to get my HBD in Savings to 120,000, which is no small task! As of this moment I have 221.457 HBD in Savings, and over the past month I've made 5.41 HBD, from both interest, post payouts, and
from participating in @benthomaswwd's @heartbeatonhive contest. This makes it glaringly obvious that I'm going to need a new strategy for making HBD, as even with 20% APR and monthly compounding interest, it's going to take me years to reach 120,000 HBD in Savings.

Since February of 2022 I've been publishing 1-3 posts every day, and for the vast majority of that time it's been with at least one post per day set to 100% HP payouts (the small portion that were not were due to using other front-ends to post and forgetting to set the payout as 100% HP). Because of this my Weekly and Monthly Author badges on HiveBuzz are abundant, to say the least, and as I mentioned yesterday, I'm now 24 days away from receiving my first Yearly Author badge. Doing it this way has had notable benefits for me, one of which is receiving an ever-growing HP Delegation from @hivebuzz each month. To be able to boost my HBD income, I'm considering switching all my posts to 50/50 HP/HBD payout, after I receive my Yearly Author badge, that is.

So, from my present perspective, reaching orca level, and whale level after that, is going to require quite a lot of HBD in Savings to accomplish. I'm kind of wishing that there were an HBD-loan service right about now...🤣 If anyone is aware of other ways of making good amounts of HBD, I'd love to hear your ideas! I know that the Zealy Campaign has large HBD prizes for those that top the leaderboard, so perhaps this will be the impetus and motivation that I need to dive into that full blast.

Thursday, yesterday, I wrapped up my essential Hive tasks by around 3PM once again, leaving the Flow House to first take photos for this post, and then to jump into land work. The first task on my list was to sharpen my machete and collect a wheelbarrow full of assorted tree foliage and cane grass for the next morning's (today's) cow-milking food. With that completed, I took a quick shower, then I headed to the fenced garden to continue with my weeding job, which I kept doing until just before sunset. The garden is looking better, but it still needs a lot of work, as always.

When I had finished work for the day, I took another shower, strained out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, made myself some food, got food for my kitty friend, then I headed back to the Flow House for my evening round of Hive tasks and catching up on my notification, which I was able to finish just before 10:30PM. I stayed up for a bit longer to do a round of token management, then I went to bed, around 11:15PM. I very thankfully slept well, waking up around 6:30AM, doing another round of token management, and then putting my focus on completing @benthomaswwd's @heartbeatonhive contest, before finally getting out of bed just after 8AM to go make my superfood fire coffee.

The time is now approaching 12:45PM, so it's a great time to end this post, so that I can dive into my afternoon round of essential Hive tasks, and then, later in the afternoon, go to take photos for tomorrow's iteration of this post, and then get some land work done.
