Traveling through food🪷🌵

Amo la cultura mexicana, desde el arte de Frida Kahlo, hasta la música de Natalia La Fourcade. La primera vez que probé la gastronomía mexicana fue en un restaurant súper chiquito, en mi ciudad, Cumaná. Me obsesioné con las quesadillas, los burritos y los nachos. Por mucho tiempo fue mi tipo de comida favorita, probablemente por la combinaciones de texturas: cremas suaves y tortillas crujientes, y por la gran variedad de sabores. De grande, descubrí mi gusto por el picante, siento que una mexicana vive en mi😅
En el colegio una vez un niño me dijo que parecía mexicana. Podría ser por mi pelo liso oscuro, el color de mi piel, o por mis facciones. Por el tono en el que lo dijo, creo que intentó ofenderme, pero a mi me hizo sonreír.
A nivel cultural me parece una locura la cantidad de referencias que me llegan de ese país, desde el Día de los Muertos, hermosamente representado en la película Coco, hasta los alebrijes, Guillermo del Toro o Christian Nodal.
Fantaseo con la idea de poder viajar a México. Pienso que debe ser un lugar alegre, festivo, colorido, y que las personas son MUY amables.
Mientras renuevo mi pasaporte tengo la opción cerquita de visitar Don Benítez, pedir un burrito y unos nachos y ser feliz. 💛😁

I love Mexican culture, from the art of Frida Kahlo, to the music of Natalia La Fourcade. The first time I tasted Mexican gastronomy was in a super tiny restaurant in my city, Cumaná. I became obsessed with quesadillas, burritos and nachos. For a long time it was my favorite type of food, probably because of the combination of textures: soft creams and crunchy tortillas, and the great variety of flavors. Growing up, I discovered my taste for spicy, I feel like a Mexican lives in me😅.
At school once a boy told me I looked Mexican. It could be because of my dark straight hair, the color of my skin, or my features. From the tone in which he said it, I think he was trying to offend me, but it made me smile.
On a cultural level I find it crazy how many references I get from that country, from the Day of the Dead, beautifully represented in the movie Coco, to the alebrijes, Guillermo del Toro or Christian Nodal.
I fantasize about traveling to Mexico. I think it must be a joyful, festive, colorful place, and the people are VERY friendly.
While I'm renewing my passport I have the cerquita option of visiting Don Benitez, ordering a burrito and some nachos and being happy. 💛😁
